Ground usage @ B27

Post by Wraith »

I've noticed a few clubs, mine included, have been using B27 for quite a few trial games recently.

I'd just like to comment on that and say thanks to Alex and the guys at WAB for letting us use the ground when we have been stuck.

For all the flack the club cops in the main forum from a select few, things like this should be mentioned and they should be congratulated for helping quite a few amateur clubs in Adelaide.

Hi crue head,

That is great that you want your son to be our future captain. It's a great place to be and we are eagerly awaiting next Thursday for our round 1 blockbuster against the Tigers at the MCG. We're also working hard at giving the 8 a crack this year. All the best for the season crue head.

Thanks

im pretty sure i can speak for the raptor's committee when i say that alex has been very generous and cooperative when allowing us to use the ground!!!!

every time i visit, it reminds me of the smell of malt being brewed from across the road..... not to mention the one coach who used to chase us with a 'verga' he cut from a nearby tree....

Thanks for providing the contact number for Alex Alexandrou crue head - your help was appreciated.

Called Alex and he says to me he only lets greek teams play there, wouldn't let Wanderers play there because our home ground is based at the Italian Veneto club. Then he said they are providing a community service - we are a not for profit organisation idiot!!

Only Greek teams? I doubt whether the likes of Olympiakos or AEK need B27.....

i dont know about you fresh football but in my house im king.. i decide who can come in...

if B27 is being used extensively, then a line has to be drawn.

because youve raised the emotive 'racial' card, in the future WAB might turn around and say 'no' to all other clubs, at which time, we'll come and ask you if we can use your ground....

thanks for nothing...... :clown:

In regards to Alex @ B27, he can choose to do whatever the club wishes. It is probably their way of paying back the 'greek' community for there support in reinstating WA while almost every other 'nationality' bagged them. Who knows? Im sure he has his reasons. I dont recall any other Federation or Amateur Clubs helping us out in anyway. Good on em I say.

Im pretty sure the grounds are heavily booked out till the season starts anyway.

All good points MegaBonus & Frappe

Here is one federation club helping out a select few amateur clubs, i don't see any other fed clubs letting us know we can use their grounds.

As per the original post, well done WAB.

can't argue with your neanderthal view megabonus or is it king megabonus?
all i have done is let the forum know what Alex has said to a simple request as to whether we could use a pitch for a trial match. there should be no excuse or tolerance for his comments in today's society. but i'd expect that from a neanderthal!
Now if the grounds are fully booked, why not just say that rather than the greek v italian thing - i'm of a UK heritage.
I called him beacause he was recommended and praised in this topic and we needed a ground!

End of story!

And who are you to dictate what he can say or can't say? They run the ground, they get to choose who can set foot on it it's that simple. You sound like a little boy at the corner shop whos mummy wouldn't let him get those lollies because he's fat.

Get over it. Fair enough you called him to see if there was a ground free, but you didn't like what he had to say so you come back on here on a public forum to express your disgust. Why not take it on the chin, and call the next federation club to see what they could do for you?

There was a re-scheduled game last week, cougars vs vipers. Cougars got the ok to use the ground from Alex and they are predominately italian based  this world works quite simply. 1st you ask with manners if that fails ask for other suggestions. Alex should be congratulated because he doesn't have to say yes for people to use his ground but he helps when possible. My motto is be nice to people and they will be nice to you. Thanks Alex, your always kind and generous.
