Can anybody shed some light on why the U12 boys from Blackwood playing as Sturt Thunder have been put in the SW2 league not the South1 league?
It means they will play against 2nd teams from other clubs and most importantly won't get a chance to be graded in the A, B or C leagues in 2010.
A couple of the boys made the TIC U11 south zone last year and one has been selected for the U12 state group. How will they feel about playing "D" league in 2010?
Whilst U11 records last year were not "kept", the Sturt side only lost 3 games and were the only team to beat the Birkalla team all season.

Re: JPL Gradings
If they are a new team they start at the bottom and work there way up as all other teams have had to do and has been standard within the FFSA for the past few years. If they played last year then the club should have picked up this error when the proposed structures were sent out last month.

Re: JPL Gradings
Your club disappoints me. Under 11 is non competitive. Results shouldnt matter, rather learning to play on a 11-a-side pitch is more important. When my kids played U11 they had two teams at the club and they split the teams to have half players who were skilled and the other half who needing improving in the same team, so that the balance would benefit.Whilst U11 records last year were not "kept", the Sturt side only lost 3 games and were the only team to beat the Birkalla team all season.
This is why we need to bring in SSF as soon as possible.

Under 11's is not competitive but under 12's is. What structure did your club use at under 12,s when the teams are graded A & B,and they cannot play in the same division. If you kept the same philosophy wouldnt it be frustrating for kids playing above or below their playing level. At what age do you think that SSG's should apply to?
