hey thunders were u at the game?? i thought that croydon were one of the big contenders for the title. To go down 6 - 1 birks must have played really well or were croydon missing a few player? But well done lads.

i thought so as well... but Birks did not let them in the game... very solid performance... not sure if Croydon had any players missing
First game not won by Modbury all seaon.
Playford played very well, should have won by more.
True, was at the game; Jet's had players who had played for U15's before this game (& some who filled in for the U19's the day before) plus injuries. Either way it made little difference, Playford were more aggressive and could of scored serveral more in the second half.
those players that played for 15 a at modbury against croydon , do they play every week for them or only when the 16 and 15s play at home the same day , seems odd to see croydon lose to modbury .
It is a combination of when the U15's team has injuries and if the U16's are playing home or nearby. (Ultimately it comes down to the coaches deciding if they need players), same in all age groups. With some U16's players playing in U17's, U19's and U23's respectively it does cause a few headaches for coaches but if they all communicate they always manage to get a full -fit- team on the park. If the seniors need players then players move up/down as necessary.
looking at modbury on the table in u15 , they needed the win and to acheive that they used players from u16 , ok thats allowed but to me it doesnt give a true reflexion of the league . also this does happen in alot of clubs .
See your point about needing a win but if any team is carrying injuries they will have to assess who is available to help out, do you bring a player down into his correct age group or do you bring a player up to get the experience?
It comes down to the same thing, who is available to help out.
That will depend on the number of players that trial later on, the U15's may go to U16's if they have the players and there is an U16's whilst the U16's should go to U17's or U19's.
Would be disapointing to see the U16's do so well then go to a 17b' don't you think ?
true , but thats how it works the u15a determine the u 17positions for season 2007 , everyone thought the 16s was going to be the new system , only to be now the same old way . blue eagles will suffer too as they pulled there u15 fom a div to b div and they are bottom so next season they will be u17c or b if lucky . i think you find modbury know that and need to win .but its allowed so good luck to them .
