AFC CUP- wanted, people to join supporters group!

Hey Forum members!!

I went and watched China vs Japan today (btw japan won 1-0) and I have stolen an idea from the chinese supporters. Mind you, they were out in force, almost filling up right across the whole middle section of the grandstand!! Anyway, MANY chinese supporters had soft drink bottles that had a few rocks inside and they used them to bang against poles, chairs, or get 2 together and bang them to create HEAPS of noise to go with the drumming and chanting they had going on also.

I think we could really benefit from this. If we can get as many aussie supporters to bring along 2 softdrink bottles with a few rocks inside, we can really out cheer the chinese or any other country that comes our way. We also need more people in the main cheer squad to get more voices going instead of leaving it to the same few all the time. This is also a good idea for the kids who want to join in but donthave loud enough voices. WE ARE FAMILY FRIENDLY..NA NA NA NA HEY! haha

I believe this is a very important issue at the moment, we really need to get behind the Aussie womens national team, THE MATILDAS! We are the hosts, so there should be no problems for us to be the loudest, but for some reason we are finding it VERY difficult.

OK so, the semi finals are on this thursday, and the matildas will be playing at either 4.30 or 7pm, not sure yet, but either way, we need to get the numbers and the noise up for the ladies in green and gold!

It doesn't matter if you have never bene part of the supporters group b4, EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!

adding rice to the softdrink bottles as a noisy alternative would also accompany the fact that this is the asian cup.....lol. agree with neits tho, was at the game today and yeh the atmosphere was amazing. less ppl than last nights game but so much more noise

I havent been able to get out to very many games but may have the oppertunity to on sunday... does anybody know the times of both finals on sunday...
