birkalla 17's b in A's 09
last year they only lost 1 game for season during season +
lost semi cup game to para A's 4-3 matched them until down to 10 men
think they had 10 u15's players in squad so if most of them stay and add few more good lads should do well in 09

i think that the big teams like Adelaide city and Metrostars will drop this year and teams like West Adelaide and Blue Eagles will really show!

I dont know about that
the Adelaide 17s team has a lot of talent in it
they are really organised and love passing the ball
plus they have a kick ass 16s team to back them up throughout the season

i feel it would be very unfair for a team like abe 17's to be in the b div next season, is it not unfair for a teams fate to be decided by anothers?

Unfortunately, the u15s had some injuries during the year including the loss of one of their major players for 10 weeks due to a collarbone injury. The team also had a change of coach with 9 games to go which didnt help.

However, this team should be the league biggest improvers for 2009 due to a good turnover of players and a new coach which has a good track record in junior football.

Is that the same 15 team which lost to West Adelaide early in the year & put in an official request to the FFSA to win on a forfeit coz West's team manager put a players number on the team sheet as 7 instead of 17!!!
Yes i'm serious.
FFSA laughed & so did we.

As i explained in my previous post which has disappeared off this forum that the story as usual was misrepresented by the West Adelaide fan. The fact of the matter is that the referree noted that the goalscorer was not listed on the team sheet ( which incidentally wasnt no.7) and the referree had no choice but to report it to FFSA. I believed that West Adelaide received a fine for not filling out the team sheet correctly.

No we didn't get fined.
And yes Blue Eagles lodged an official request to be awarded the game. I mean seriously, that is how desperate they were to get some points.

Metro stars, Adelaide City, Para hills and modbury will be top 5 sides with,

salisbury, adelaide hills and campbelltown looking at relegation....

i know these teams very well and the top 4 have a very strong based side with the other teams having a lack of right age players and a little big weak on the ball u could say...

ii know a few good pick ups to each side....

Metro, Alex Baxter a great, strong centrel midfieldir who wont loose anything to any1,
Stephan Cali a player who go delisted from SASI but will be lookign to make his return
through Metro still a great strong qouality player down the centre,
Cameron Brown a qucik little player that is strong for his size and knows how to use the
ball also would be a great adition to the leaderships squad for captincy
Samuel Testa a veery skillfull player down the left quite a good utility player can play
any side or down centre, he also has a great left foot and is very dangerous wen it comes
to goals also would be a great adition to the leaderships squad for captincy
Brendon Skinner a fast skillfull player down the right but needs to know when it is the
right time to use the ball but still a good pik up for metro

Para Hills, Jake bradbur a good centre mid and has a lot of body to offer, he is an all rounder
player but for me he doesnt compare to stefan cali or alex baxter from
metro

ANY BODY ELSE KNOW ANY GOOD PLAYERS FROM SIDES OR WANTS TO COMMENT ON THESE NEW PIKUPS???

  Nice one, Matey. U17's don't have relegation. Ohhh, the Einsteins of the world.

And only a brave person would write off Campbelltown.

If Modbury U17s dont loose some of their current squad to the 19s (who I believe are struggling for numbers) then they will be hard to beat.

Sam Testa???? Isnt he ex -Modbury, ex-Para Hills, ex- Campbelltown?? What's going on there? Not making the grade or parents moving house lots?

PS If Trevor Hall recovers well from last years knee injury, he will make Modbury U17s even stronger. Was easily best player up until injured in last years U17s.

Darsom - Legend Centre Back. What he lacks in size he makes up for in presence, intensity, effort etc.

Issac Burns - Most improved goalie in SA last year.

Tristan Thomas - Put in some big efforts on left wing and has improved heaps since Para Hills days.

Good luck to all U17s teams next year.

yer i believe Sam Testa did play for these particular squads.... but when you think about it all 4 of these clubs ar very successful so he cant be too bad.. it will be good to see how all thses players go next year at new clubs and to see who makes it to seniors...

whats happenign with modbury 17 and 19s???

squizzy said i have to be brave to ride of campbelltwon.. i am i know some players and they got skill but i think the age and strength factor will ride them of not to mention there (loud) coach...

footballfan- who are you do you have a name?

all good names then but Issac Burns not too sure about him he is a bit slow of his line and has been known to make some silly mistakes.....

Darson - everytime ive seen him ive never seen him play a good game but ive heared a lot about him when is he going to perform??

WHAT DO PEOPLE THINK ABOUT TE NEW PLAYERS AT METRO, PARA HILLS AND MODBURY????
do we have something to look out for???

Cam Brown, definatley unlucky not to make Parahills, probably didnt perform up to the coaches standard at the trials. Same with cousin Brandon Skinner, also unlucky not to make Para U/17s

Sam Tester, not that fond of his playing ability, wouldnt think he would be the type of kid to contend for captaincy :?:

agreed... cameron brown was unlucky but maybe it is best for a change of scenery... hes a wog and should be with wogs not poms hahaahha jokes

sam tester,, not too fond of his ability?? dnt know about that.. from wat ive seen he has good skill and that killer ball he reminds me a bit like kristian sarkies. not the best footwork player but when skill and the final delivery of a ball is concernend hes hard to beat... ive heared he was captain last year and has allways been near of captaincy so i dnt think if he was apointed he would be too bad.
ive heared some roumours that he may be used as a wing back next year... ive been talkign to some people at metro and aparantly he performed at trials and the 19s coach was impressed.

Stephan cali lets not take the emphisis of him he is a great player and was very unlucky to get dropped from sasi. he is a hard worker and is very skillful and strong definitly 1 to watch next year..

OPINIONS?????

Yeah, very surprised to hear that Stephan was dropped from SASI, from what ive seen of him he is hard, good footwork and knows exactlty what to do with the ball when he gets it.

Parahills 17s picked up a good player, Peter Yusuf. He may be short but he has alot of body behind him and will be a great asset for Parahills in the coming season.
