Vista Bhoy retires

Post by Olympic (Vista) Bhoy »

As if everyone didn't already know, I am packing in the football for good. The knee hasn't been right since the reconstruction operation a couple of years ago.

I've had a wonderful time playing amatuers and met some terrific people along the way. I started way back in 1990 and was lucky enough to play in some good sides and won 5 league winners medals at Valley View (1990,1991) Modbury Vista (1993, 1994) and Man Utd Supporter's Club (don't ask  ) 1998. I experienced the highs of winning the league and lows of relegation. There is also the fateful Sydney trip in 1994, thankfully I'm allowed to fly QANTAS again

To all the Vista bhoys on here, there is nothing like winning the league NOTHING. They are the best parties you'll ever go to (unless Hugh Heffner invites you to the mansion). So come on Vista A's and B's just do it! - both teams will never get a better change to win a title. Spellowhouse and Sidopoulos (oh and Happy Kopite) deserve a party! :D

Is this a joke???

You haven't played for about 5 years!! I think Kenny Dalglish is also about to announce his retirement from playing - he did play for two great clubs

As for me, I've retired each and every one of the last 3 years - so expect the same again in September....

Well enjoy your retirement improving your golf game. It needs a bit of attention.

Shinguard sales have nose dived, crown lager stocks have doubled with this news.
Buy shinguard stock now and wait for the comeback next year and bingo your in the money.
When i was keeper you cleaned me up more often than the opposition, maybe it was a celtic rangers thing?
Good luck MON

You'll be sadly missed you Irish get! Unfortunately the 2 of us never played in the same team that often, then again the team would have been down to 9 men every week with us 2 egging each other on! Of the games were we did terrify those fancy arsed strikers, it was an honour to be on the park with you. :x

I dont think he could have mate. I think he was banged up for a 5 years stretch in BroadMeadows prison in the UK for stealing cars.

Well he is an Evertonian after all...thieving blue noses.

Maybe you'll be chosen in OUR group - because we're in the top seeding group. I read you've snuck into the 2nd group - somehow...!

Yeah, maybe after we've beaten you 4-0 at Celtic Park, won our other games, qualified for the next stages and rested our 1st team. You'll be battling for a UEFA Cup spot as per usual.
