So doesn't this make him a "decent" coach?? Or coaching at sasi just doesn't mean anything? Isn't that the best level for players (a part from Adelaide United)?

OK Shorty, but it's still a good level and an important thing for the girls isn't it?
So is it possible that a sasi coach is actually a bad coach??? That really doesn't make sense at all!
Aren't the prem coaches and the sasi coaches supposed to be the best around? If not, where is someone who actually is good for the girls??? Sooo frustrating!

i didnt say they were bad...
and i never said russell was bad i have nothing against him..

but..

if u coach and coach and coach and coach year in year out other coaches with better ideas are going to overlap you...
there are premier league coaches who are better than the sasi coaches you;re right....

im allowed to have an opinion. iv played under russ before at sasi and state trips etc and i think he is a boring, bland coach and not the best communicator. good, he is at sasi again, i hope some of the young girls can get something out of playing under him.

So tell us "original unknown"...what's the best level of girls soccer uh?
And where should ppl go to get good development? Premier league? Not good enough, bolloks...
SASI? Bad coaches, poor level, under 15 boys...
Adelaide United? Well...not everyone can just walk in there, but aren't those players playing in the local Premier League?
So what??

I think that there isn't one simple answer to that question Easy Tiger.
For what it's worth this is how I see it at the moment (but of course this is just how I perceive things and I may be wrong).

SASI and AU W-League are now effectively the 'pathways' to potential national team camps and hence national team selections at present, albeit SASI is more for potential Junior Matildas and Young Matildas and AUFC is more for potential Young Matildas and Matildas.
The local league - ie Premier League etc serves an important purpose in allowing AU girls etc to maintain match fitness etc when W-League is 'off-season', and also for other players who are currently on the fringe of SASI/AU or still developing to continue to develop and stake their claim for a spot in SASI or AU in the future.

So in summary, young players (say 14/15 - 20?) should still initially be aiming for SASI as their 'best level' or pathway, and players of probably 17 yrs and above should be aspiring to AU for this. There is of course an over-lap here in age ranges, because younger players are probably going to be best placed to get to AUFC via SASI rather than straight from the Premier League.
Premier League etc still remains absolutely essential to support these 'elite' programs and teams, and the fact that SASI and AU players will be playing there should only help to continue to lift the level of the Premier League. The best teams in PL should always be of a similar standard to SASI or slightly higher given that the SASI team is probably quite a bit younger and less experienced.

It's all gone a bit off topic from 'where is Russ', but worth talking about anyway.
