Seems all the other divisions Sun & Sat are up to date, except for Div 2 Sat and Div 3 Sat,
but Div 2 Sat does not have any bearing on the table at the moment, but this is not the
case with Div 3. :?

If you have looked ahead at the schedule you will know that Division 3 games are scheduled on cup weekends from last round onwards....which is why there were postponements.Juventino wrote:We (Red Blue Eagles) were thinking of playing the catch up game vs Burundi next cup game. Was just an idea last I heard, but it may happen.
I believe all games should be played as it may affect leading goalscorers and B&F votes.reggina wrote:Hopefully by then, the games wont decide promotion...
I know its a long way off at this stage, but would save alot of grief and nerves no doubt
And players have paid registration for a full season.swannsong wrote:I believe all games should be played as it may affect leading goalscorers and B&F votes.reggina wrote:Hopefully by then, the games wont decide promotion...

Have the league notified the clubs that they are to do this. Rob if your involved with the Amateur League or a least know the rules better than some. Is there a time limit ie within 2 weeks, and is pressure put on the clubs? If I was Salsibury Villa I would take my time playing the catch up game, try and postpone till end of season.Rob Lozza wrote:In my experience, the SAASL's approach has been to leave it up to the Clubs first and then advise of outcomes, i.e. Clubs agree on if, when and where the game can be played, notify the SAASL and then the SAASL will provide the match official(s). I suggest this is what you should do.
that's exactly what they are doing. turned down an approach to play their catch up game as a night match.Power04 wrote:If I was Salsibury Villa I would take my time playing the catch up game, try and postpone till end of season.
and you know this for a fact hawksey??? not meaning to sound rude, just asking the question is all...Hawkesy wrote:that's exactly what they are doing. turned down an approach to play their catch up game as a night match.Power04 wrote:If I was Salsibury Villa I would take my time playing the catch up game, try and postpone till end of season.
Well i didn't make the call myself so it's possible I'm being lied to but I have been told that Iggies approached them about a night game at Grange for the catch up game and were flatly told no.reggina wrote:and you know this for a fact hawksey??? not meaning to sound rude, just asking the question is all...Hawkesy wrote:that's exactly what they are doing. turned down an approach to play their catch up game as a night match.Power04 wrote:If I was Salsibury Villa I would take my time playing the catch up game, try and postpone till end of season.
3 games in 8 days is not really a big deal, it's only 1 extra and you'll be training anyway so hardly a big difference.reggina wrote:Maybe someone has lied to you im not sure...but im 100% sure that we havent been approached about a night game. Whether the league was supposed to contact us im not sure. However, the fact is, that the prez feels that it would be a disadvantage for us playing a catch up game mid week and we will not entertain the idea. 3 games in 8 days doesn't sound appealing. Again, not meaning to sound rude or offend anyone - just looking after the best interests of the club ofcourse....
I like the idea of a night match at Grange, but I agree why would Salisbury Villa want to give up a home game... and travel all that way too?Hawkesy wrote:Well i didn't make the call myself so it's possible I'm being lied to but I have been told that Iggies approached them about a night game at Grange for the catch up game and were flatly told no.
Wouldn't bother me.Hawkesy wrote:3 games in 8 days is not really a big deal
In our case, it would be at Glenunga as it's our home game. If after the end of the season, it will probably be at Grange anyway, due to cricket commitments on our pitch.Bodø Glimt wrote:I like the idea of a night match at Grange, but I agree why would Salisbury Villa want to give up a home game... and travel all that way too?Hawkesy wrote:Well i didn't make the call myself so it's possible I'm being lied to but I have been told that Iggies approached them about a night game at Grange for the catch up game and were flatly told no.
In that case I guess you have the right to switch it. Still, a night kick off could be a long hike from Salisbury after work if you work out that way.Hawkesy wrote:In our case, it would be at Glenunga as it's our home game. This is a huge problem with the league. Clubs should be made to play catch up games ASAP. Can't blame Salisbury Villa, I would do the same thing, best interest of the club. But the league should should know better, should be done in best interest of the league, should not get this far or onto a forum. :?reggina wrote:Maybe someone has lied to you im not sure...but im 100% sure that we havent been approached about a night game. Hawkesy, don't you play Div 1 reserves, I didn't think you played in Div 3 or have you been droppedHawkesy wrote:In our case, it would be at Glenunga as it's our home game. Yes, I do. But our club has a div 1 side and a div 3 side. I played in div 3 last year, but returned back to the B's this year.Power04 wrote:Hawkesy, don't you play Div 1 reserves, I didn't think you played in Div 3 or have you been dropped![]()

well in that case then, you'll still be playing in october with 2 catch up games to be played.adriano10 wrote:or if you work at St AgnesBodø Glimt wrote: In that case I guess you have the right to switch it.
