Disorganised Teams
On the weekend we had a team that rocked up late and was really disorganised e.g setting up the pitch and half the squad turning up up 5mins before the game. What was worse is that they changed the start time from 3:00pm to 1:00pm rang the league and then explained to them that they notified our team that it was changed. Fortunately our manager rang the league to confirm, we rocked up ready at 1:00pm as well as the ref and the opposition said no..no the game starts at 2:00pm. What The?
We are all out there to have fun and we're giving up our saturdays to enjoy a game. When you get these dissorganised clowns abusing our time it really makes me mad!! Particularly when players have kids and busy lives. Is forfeiting points and fines enough? I have heard a few games like this on the weekend where teams travel distances and the opposition just does not turn up. Has anyone else seen an increase in these scenarios?

Re: Unorganised Teams
No It wan't Adelaide Uni this time but I think it's time all coaches and players that are forming a team should actually manage it. All I'm suggesting is to have some respect for others and maybe contact the opposition and let them know whats going on. We all know that sometimes it is hard to ge players, people go on holidays, its cold and raining etc etc but all that is necessary is a little communication.

Re: Unorganised Teams
I could imagine some level of difficulty in getting players but were talking Saturday Div 2-4..... oh well....

That shouldn't stop players turning up. If people can't hack it they should be playing another sport.eight men out wrote:its cold and raining etc etc

Re: Unorganised Teams
In this case the team was called Dream Plus.
The team was late, very dissorganised and the coach turned up 20mins late started mouthing at the ref and got red carded
This guy's gonna have a heart attack if he thinks this is a great fun weekend out.

Yep, some of the guys that turned up to the Budapest game and found out that there wasn't going to be a game then went to the division 4 match and got themselves 20mins play.
Some very annoyed players.

Are you sure? If you are from yanky land yes, but in Australia, isn't it unorganised! note the use of the letter 's' instead of the letter 'z'. This is an Australian website isn't it?eight men out wrote:You are correct - I wasn't aware that I was going to be gradedBomber wrote:For a start - It's disorganized, not unorganized!
When correcting people, probably good to actually be correct yourself.
