Existing coaches not going to be there next year strap or is it just a normal process that you advertise
Re: Para Hills East Soccer Club Coaching Roles 2009
Hey strap have two questions for you
1. Applications by 31/7/08. What if you are currently coaching obviously you wouldnt want to talk to any clubs until the end of the season.
2. Div1. You'll need a good run home.

Re: Para Hills East Soccer Club Coaching Roles 2009
I think it was well documented in the early stages of the season what happened to the original coaching position and it is also known that Keith will step down at the end of the current season. Work commitments are already too much for him for this season.
There was an ad in the paper the other day looking for any applicants and i think its a good move by the comittee to try and resolve the lack of coach for season 2009.

Gully usually offload theirs at the end of the season, so that might be a good place to start.
Plus, he's an East boy !

1. Im sure there will be a large degree of confidentiality of all applicants. Im sure they are just trying to get the position resolved as soon as possible.lefty wrote:Hey strap have two questions for you

G'day mate, as it has been said so far, Keith isn't coaching next season & Simon the B's coach can't do it either as his wife is about about to give birth to their 2nd child in a couple of weeks.nachoman wrote:Existing coaches not going to be there next year strap or is it just a normal process that you advertise
We are just trying to be more organised & have this situation sorted as quickly as possible & to also give the new coaching staff plenty of time to recruit players.

great idea to advertise early for the eastie's but will be interesting if and what response they get at this point of the season.seems a lil strange to me but it may work, the incoming coach wont even no what div they will be in,and will coaches allread locked in for this season apply.only time will tell i suppose!

Re: Para Hills East Soccer Club Coaching Roles 2009
haha dont think so bud my coaching days are well and truly over, even though i help out with the young lads at the gully.not to sure with my big mouth that to many clubs would want a coach like me anyway!
Re: Para Hills East Soccer Club Coaching Roles 2009
I think it's a very good idea to advertise now if Keith is struggling to fullfil commitments , then maybe the new coach is able to see out the last few games of the season or at least come along side keith to plan early for next year, it will give the club a bit of insight into what they are getting with the new coach. If he can't be part of the PHE set up this year at least you'll have a coach locked in for next with out fighting other clubs for their services. It could be a gamble with coaches still at clubs and not deciding on what they are doing yet next year.
Re: Para Hills East Soccer Club Coaching Roles 2009
I think you might want to try to attract more supporters to your games as well as a coach, you have had very poor support over the years & dropping which is why your club is struggling now, due to lack of help. It burns people out e.g Kieth. Dont get me wrong Im not knocking your club I would prefer you in the 1st Division I can stagger home; but I think you really need to look at that as well, a good coach can help though..

I hear that Dave Baker is looking for another job in '09, just ask SPOC coach 09!!!!
Re: Para Hills East Soccer Club Coaching Roles 2009
If you've got the right credentials we dont mind a coach with a big mouth! Anyone who did have a problem with it has already packed their tissues away and headed down to Thomas Turner anywaygetstuckin wrote:haha dont think so bud my coaching days are well and truly over, even though i help out with the young lads at the gully.not to sure with my big mouth that to many clubs would want a coach like me anyway!
I think its a great move by the club to try and get the situation sorted ASAP. The quicker we sort out a coach, the better our planning can be for next year.

i don't actually know as i'm not on the committee but thought it wouldn't hurt to keep it at the top of the forum.

Re: Para Hills East Soccer Club Coaching Roles 2009
Is Steve Ingham back? and will he take over from Keith for the remainder of the year or is Keith going to finish the year?
Re: Para Hills East Soccer Club Coaching Roles 2009
Keith will see out the remainder of the year. Hopefully we can get a few resutls and build with a new coach for next season.
