sad news :(

Post by Piola »

it appears that Lazio have opted for Juan Pablo Carrizo, Tommaso Berni and Nestor Muslera as the three man first team keepers for 08-09.

one notable name missing from that has not had his contract renewed. nothing official from the club yet but its been reported many places.

the man has already been sought by Serie B outfits Modena and Sassuolo.

Grazie Nonno, per tutto che ha fatto per noi

Good riddance. Brings the game into disrepute when you have geriatrics such as him playing professional football.

Peter Shilton was 47 when he finally retired, so only 3 years to go for Marco.

marco probably doesn't have bookies all over the country chasing him for money though, so maybe he won't have to end his career at lowly east end clubs like west ham or leyton orient just yet.
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Colossus: One House

Costa: One Lunch

Oh and add in

Colossus: one photo and one letter from his "attorney".

re malaka, can you please title your post as "sad news for Lazio". Can you do that? can you comprehend that maybe some of us dont give a shit about Lazio? can your brain compute that? are you aware that there are many clubs in europe? Do you think that the world revolves around one club???

why?, this guy was a well world class gk back in the and to this day still is well respected. pity he couldnt finish his days out at lazio, but ya have to admire the heart in footballers who continue their careers who go beyond the age of 40. the same will happen when the likes of Van Der Sar, Buffon etc hang up the boots.

well he's not hanging the boots up yet, just won't be playing Serie A football any more.
and being honest here, he was never close to world class as a keeper, but a world class professional
