Souvla BBQ for Pumas Vs Raptors Sun 6th July

Post by plans »

Having not played on our home ground for around a month, the Pumas will be putting on a charcoal BBQ to feed the masses expected to attend the game.

4th placed Raptors play 5th placed Pumas with only the single point separating the sides on the table.

From 1pm onwards, Rob from Mignone Catering (Tel: 0421 070 990) will generously donate his time and equipment to cook up his highly reputed seasoned chicken steaks and italian sausages over a traditional bed of charcoals.

Dont worry if you forget, I'm sure the scent will be wafting all over the outer north eastern suburbs all afternoon.

Food and drinks will be provided at a nominal charge, as we try to recoup the dismal takings from our home BBQ's this year with the majority of clubs disappointingly bringing their own food and drink to Thomas Turner this year :(

Looks like I am charged with organising some chips and choccies to cater for the kids also.

Good to see you guys doing something. In regards to clubs bringing their own food and drinks, it is disappointing but previously you guys have never really sold food and only sold West End Draught so most people would anticipate that the same thing would happen.

Yea we keep telling the Fos who buys the beer that no one except him likes drinking horse urine.

I'm donating a slab of Boags to the cause, sure that a couple of other members will be following suit with some more paletable ale.

Sounds great, although the Raptors supporter base will be a hard crowd to please as they are used to gourmet buffets being held at their home games. As a result, We have sensitive and advanced palates. It's a blessing and a curse.

The Raptors home game feasts definately have a brilliant reputation, and I unfortunately missed our away game earlier in the year :(

You obviously havent been fed by Rob before  .
He did my recent birthday bash - 3 months later I am still getting people asking for his number.

Excellent. Seriously though i am looking forward to it. Bravo for showing the initiative. Hopefully a good crowd comes down for the day and supports the club

:D It is great to see a club taking pride in supporters attending their games and trying to build a good atmosphere around their team and bring success off the pitch as well as on it. 8) BRAVO to Pumas. I shall most certainly be heading down to try one of those delicious steaks :!:

 Shame I will miss the Modbury Vista vs Tea Tree Gully Game, Lets face it that will be the game of the week. But the offer of good quality Chicken Steaks and a good match aswell is too good to refuse. :)

If it was closer to home I'd consider it, but for now I have to budget.

Dont forget to present your pension card next time then.

As stated earlier, the Pumas beer procurrer has lost his job as of last week.

Have to agree with RTF.

When we played there in the 1st round we stayed behind (or outside) for a drink (soft drink cos who drinks draft).

Pumas played at our ground on Sunday and even with sausages and steaks - $3 Draughts, $4 for all other beers including Corana's, Blondes etc not ONE of there players stayed behind.

Fulham have made an effort in the past couple of years to stay at away clubs for a drink after the game - PUMAS should start doing the same if they want people to stay behind at there club.

Forecast for showers Sunday so the BBQ might have to be in the away changerooms (or shoe box) and Raptors might have to get changed outside.

We generally tend to travel there to play football, however the facilities are sub par. Im aware that it is a topic that has been thrashed out more than Paris hilton however it would be nice for the Pumas to organise something for the near future. Dont get me wrong im not trying to be another one that jumps on the wagon whinging about facilities all i think is that if someone from the pumas could come forward and explain their intentions of upgrading or changing the facilities to allow for them to improve as a CLUB. As far as im concerned pumas have a good team with some quality players..........

Imagine if they got their *SHITE* together OFF the park!

All suggestions and feedback regarding Thomas Turner Reserve changeroom facilities are best directed to http://www.portenf.sa.gov.au/site/page.cfm?u=136.

We are a small, young, financially modest club with a short history that builds every year.

Tell me some stories of how and where your club started Outlaw....
