new man at the helm - spoc
well i'm pleased to announce i've signed on to coach spoc in 09. i've been out to a few of the games this year which is why i chose spoc despite a very generous offer from wanderers, but it just seems wanderers are always missing four or five of their starting line up and as a coach you want your best xi out there.

i think it is only fair and right if i don't disclose who i am coaching at the moment as there is still half a season to play, but if i've been watching the spoc boys recently its safe to say im not coaching saturday.

spoc are a decent team but theres something not right behind the scenes when players come and go so often.
players came last year but didnt return this year and went back to the other sat clubs ( in particular sturt marion and adelaide uni )

Players come and go from all clubs for a multitude of reasons. Perhaps you would care to enlighten us about why the players left our club?5cougars wrote:spoc are a decent team but theres something not right behind the scenes when players come and go so often.

Re: new man at the helm - spoc
Raponi is now back at Sturt Marion , after playing for saints for one year and then returns to his old club.
Another guy was at adelaide uni, played with saints for a year ( think he got injured ) and now back at uni.

Re: new man at the helm - spoc
well if you were thinking about what is 'fair' and 'right' you would not have come on here in the first place with half a season to play talking about your new coaching role for 09, you really think no one is going to figure it out and word won't get out??spoc_coach 09 wrote:i think it is only fair and right if i don't disclose who i am coaching at the moment as there is still half a season to play, but if i've been watching the spoc boys recently its safe to say im not coaching saturday.
Re: new man at the helm - spoc
Raponi went back to Sturt because he lives near there and was struggling to play because of injury. Apparently he hasn't even played a game this year.5cougars wrote:Raponi is now back at Sturt Marion , after playing for saints for one year and then returns to his old club.

The Uni guy played with us for 2 years and went back to Uni because they were after someone to coach their reserves.
Any more crap you want to spin about a club you know nothing about?
Re: new man at the helm - spoc
Thanks for this thread, it gave me some amusing banter with your president and A's coach. We have offered DB a curly wurly and a can of coke and he is considering his options for next season.

no crap
thankyou for pointing out that Dave isnt playing much, i know he was injured last year towards the end.
Good player too, but your team looks better this year with the inclusion of the lads from the Sunday teams

We weren't prepared to splash that much cash out for some northern monkey. (well north of the Thames anyway). We had to end negotiations when the deli wanted to charge 10c for the HP sauce. No Clever Alias wrote:DB prefers a bacon and egg sandwich... but good luck with the curly wurly!Hawkesy wrote:Thanks for this thread, it gave me some amusing banter with your president and A's coach. test positive for signs of intelligent life? don't think there will be much luck there.Rattus wrote:Because you guys are probably worried that you'll test positive!!!The Roo wrote:Wanderers wouldnt even urinate on you...
Interesting talks tonight, st peters may become the hackney falcons as the schools second pitch is set to become an ampitheatre and the new home of the adelaide symphony orchestra, meaning the first pitch will have to host all the school games. levi park caravan park a new home?

That never actually looks that bad, but changing facilities would be an issue. Can't imagine the saints boys changing in a caravan!spoc_coach 09 wrote:levi park caravan park a new home?

Not any more - extensive work before the winter and it's been removed. Don't know if they do that every year but wonder how school cricket will be there next year. The pitch is VERY small as well.Bodø Glimt wrote:I think there's a cricket pitch down the middle.
