Metro vs Cumberland

reserves:

metro 2 - 0 cumby (confirm?)

prems:

metro 0 - 0 cumby

the prems game was a very tight game. both teams dominated the game at times. metro were very unlucky with a few of there chances. metro had the most direct chances in the game but cumby did have a few opportunities to snatch the game. was a gd game to play in, hard but fair. both teams were very positive which was gd to see.

bad luck metro, u did have sum very close chances. but cumby were quite happy with a draw, esp considering the number of players missing from their squad

no thanks to the hand ball that you let them score from in the 90th minute mattieg1200

which even they admitted after the game!!!!!!!

para pushed hard and 0-0 would have been a deserved final score line for both teams, unlucky to have 2 goals scored against them in the last 5minutes - first goal from Olympic was a ripper!

As an observer to this game, it was a very high class game, with Olympic having a lot of shots from distance at goal but like the Knights team not too many on target.
The first goal in the last 8 minutes of the game was a cracker that no one has a quarm about, but the non second goal was absolute shit. A obvious hand ball to all that were there. A extremely poor ref ( we can only hope that this is not going to be a standard of reffing in this league or any other) decision that spoilt a fantastic game between two teams....Olympic that is starting to hit form and Knights that are rapidly improving....well done to both teams.

Just to clarify that comment, Cumby were not playing for a draw, we were definitely trying to secure a win.
But as Ecky says, with only about 1/2 our regular Prems squad available then we were not 'unhappy' with the draw.

Other results;

U17
Metro 2 - 5 Cumberland

Div2
Metro 3 - 1 Cumberland
