A: Comets 1 Vipers 2
B: Comets 2 Vipers 4

Scorers (A): Ganiaris, Geladaris
Scorers (B): Gill (3), Plata

Great day out for the Vipers. The A's were 2-0 up at the half, the second an absolute belter that swerved under the crossbar. The Comets scored a penalty in the second but the Vipers held on with 10 men to take top spot! Man of the Match had to be Bates in goal for the Vipers, saved the penalty (scored on the rebound), and when a player rounded him on a 1-on-1 his long arm stole it from his foot.

The B's held on after a 3-0 lead at half time, the first half hattrick going to Luke Gill before the Vipers sealed it when the score sat at 3-2.

Beware the Vipers!!! Good luck to the Comets, great performance and great competitor, and bring on Strath.

Great day out for the Vipers. Both games were tough and well fought - with both teams coming out with the points.

Well done to all the boys for getting the wins. Comets put up a great fight and showed why they are considered one of the teams to beat.

A's adelaide red blue eagles 1 - St Iggies 0
B's 3 - 1

Was decent game from both teams, eagles played a man short for 50 mins.

Surprised by comets result. Looks like the season will start to get interesting.

It was 1 or 2 nil when first send off happened (last man).
The second send off happened well into the second half when it was about 7 or 8 nil or even more (abusing the ref). It was 4 nil at the half and Wanderers finished with 10 men, after all 3 subs were made - there was a late injury. We actually scored 4 when we had 10 men.
Our keeper even took a penalty which smacked the cross-bar... Even though 14 were scored, there could have been at least another 5 or more if it wasn't for a couple goal line saves etc...

Tough times for Navarino, it seems there are a lot of unhappy players and supporters - they were arguing amongst themselves and with anyone who'd listen.

Within the first twelve minutes and you were up 2-0, Navarino had hit the post and had a player sent off. By the second red card it was all over. The player sent off was also the person who threw down the linesman's flag and walked away five minutes into the second half before coming on. Shame really because before all of that he was the goalkeeper in the reserves game and had played quite well.

Wanderers missed a few one on ones with the Navarino keeper in the reserves. Navarino should have had a penalty in the end of that one but all in all it wasn't a particularly good game and 1-1 was a fair result.

I was the person the referee asked to run the line for the last 40 minutes after the Navarino linesman had a dummy spit throwing his flag to the ground and walking away. I know I got that throw in wrong. My eyes saw it was a blue ball, my mind knew it was a blue ball but for some reason when I put my flag up I put it up the wrong way. Some lack of communication between my mind and my arm. It didn't affect the result.

This was a very different Navarino side to the one I saw graft and grind and eventually win 5-4 in extra time against Beograd a few weeks back.

Firstly.... I cannot believe that a side can be beaten 14-1 to a team in the same division?!!! I know wanderers are the pace setters and a very handy side, but surely you can keep it below like 10 maybe?!! We played them last week and i knew that Wand's would beat them convincingly but that is very poor. Being a player that has come from the Sunday league i now know that there is a very big divide between the two top divisions in particular. My summary would be that maybe the top three teams could survive in div 1 Sunday and the rest may be div 2-4!!! Hopefully with a couple of better clubs (Sturt and Villa) coming up in the next couple of years the gap will close between top and bottom....

Anyway..... St. Peters 2-0 All Stars
Being in the unusual position of coming off the bench it was a very hard game to watch. St's were, in my biased opinion, always going to win once they scored the first but in all honesty once that went in we should have turned it up and won 6-0. but we didn't. And consequently the longer the game went on the more Africa looked dangerous with their african skill and endurance. Nevertheless a good win in a danger game for us and we'll take the 3 points.

Now on to next week and Wanderers. What a massive game to mark the half way of the season!!! Hopefully we can give them a bit better of a game than Navarino?!!

Look on the bright side then, you saved yourself a couple of grand and still got an easy win.
Things I am owed because they're too tight to pay up:

Colossus: One House

Costa: One Lunch

Oh and add in

Actually I wasn't referring to the personnel (spelling?) but more to the mentality of the team on the park. Everyone dug in a few weeks ago but yesterday it all just fell apart. Hopefully you'll bounce back next week.
