Scotland drop to 17th in latest FIFA world rankings
Jun 4 2008

SCOTLAND have slumped two places in the latest FIFA rankings following last week's defeat to the Czech Republic.

George Burley's side have dropped to 17th in the latest rankings, now eight places behind England.

England rose to 9th on the back of their wins over the USA and Trinidad annd Tobago, but will likely slip out of the top 10 after Euro 2008.

Northern Ireland have risen two places to 32nd, while the Republic are now in 42nd place. Wales have also dropped a place, to 53rd.

Argentina remain the number one ranked side in the world, ahead of Brazil, with World Cup holders Italy in third.
