comets 15a's versus west adelaide 15a's absolute disgrace

comets bring down 4 u17 players for the wedensday night match against west adelaide, on top of that 5 regular 15a's players did not play a single minute in the match including their captain. the freekick ratio for the match was about 7 to 1. comets had a player red carded then west adelaide had a player given a straight red for no reason what so ever what an absolute disgrace to the comets and football in general for this state.

the match ended in a 3-0 win to comets

What does it matter - the players were probably born in 1993 and a card check presumably would have been done to verify their id.

Most clubs have probably done the same thing in varying forms to enhance their chances of winning.

I know it is annoying that the club has to resort to these tactics but the FFSA allow it in the rules and policies of the football comp.

i recently spoke to one of the comets under 15A players, and he admitted to the coach bringing down 3 or 4 under 17s players. i think that this is a gutless move by the Comets, and the club should be about developing players to players to play a certain standard of football, not bring other players down for the purpose of winning. i also know that there were 5 quite able players that were originally from the u/15As at comets sitting on the bench for the entire game while the under 17 players played.

in all honesty, comets should grow up and learn to play fair, because this is just crap. why not bring down the first team to play reserves just to win, if thats the way you want to play?

what type of coach would replace his original under 15 players and there captian with 4 under 17 players just so they can win. ill understand if there were no subs on the bench because of injuries or players that are red carded, but not if they wont to win. how would u feel if you were 1 of those players perants going out to watch there son play in very cold conditions finding him on the bench the whole game with 4 other players from the original team, being replaced by players from 2 divisions up from your team. its just a game dosn't there coach beleive in his players that they can win or come close to winning a game. they bet western strikers 2-1 which is a great win coming from a team thats last beating a team that was 4 positions higher than them. y couldn't they do that agaisnt west adelaide. on the 15/06/2008 west adelaide are versing comets again and i would like to see comets play with there original team, but the comets under 17s are player the game after the 15s maybe they might go back to there same old habbits and bring those players down again. also when west adelaide 17s vs comets a few weeks a go comets had brought down a number of players from the reserves and 19 to play 4 them. i wonder if the original under 17s were on the bench the whole game??

agreed did the same to us last year under 14a's brought down players from the 15s on a night game same thing brought down David and some kineso... definently bullshit but u cant do anything about it!

Do you know whats worst Hellas14? Its a bunch of 13 or 14 year old boys (who should of matured by now, who should understand that you can not win all the time) which showed extremely bad sportsmanship after the game. Your team did not shake hands properly, and then after that you walked off and made rude remarks to the comets team. And to make this even worst, you come on this forum and bad mouth a team that beat you fair and square. You call it a disgrace. The only disgrace is the lack of respect you show for your opposition. So what if comets brought down players, maybe it was not to win, maybe it was to show the U15 boys what they can become.
