Scottish Football Thread
Some great matches on this weekend in the SPL, the European spots are really hotting up.
Saturday
Falkirk v Inverness
Hearts v Kilmarnock
Rangers v Dundee United
Motherwell v Aberdeen
St Mirren v Gretna
Sunday
Celtic v Hibernian
Motherwell are probably the team which will have to best chance to create a small buffer, where as United & Hib's will most likely struggle to get any points out of there games.
In the SFL Division 1, Clyde host Airdie United for a spot in Division 1 tonight.
Clyde currently have the upper hand, with a leading agg of 1-0.
Another big weekend of Scottish football.

Rangers are playing Dundee United, not Dundee. Unlikely, but I hope they lose.

I know it's Dundee United
i edited the post anyway.
I didn't think people would get confused, because Dundee are in Division 1.

Motherwell took advantage of the United slip up, and will be hoping Celtic can put away Hibernian tonight.

Re: Scottish Football Thread
Dundee got robbed, saw the game on Setanta. Turned down a textbook penalty and got a goal disallowed for i think offside but nobody was really too sure. Rangers scored third in stoppage time.
Does anyone know if Ryan McGowan played for Hearts over night, apparently he was a chance for this match??

Well and truly robbed. The results also puts them out of challenging for a European place.Updachels wrote:Dundee United got robbed,

saw that disallowed goal :?Bodø Glimt wrote:Well and truly robbed. The results also puts them out of challenging for a European place.Updachels wrote:Dundee United got robbed,
once the ref made a decision though it was too late, the linesman assumed the player touched the ball and he was in an offside position(on the other hand whether he was passive or not is open for debate). If the ref saw the incident he wouldn't have even needed to consider the linesman. Dundee coach afterwards was livid!

Celtic 2-0 Hibernian,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Celtic dominated this match, but hibs did give a good show as every time they went forward they did look dangerous. they had 2 sent off,,,,,,,,,,,,,,1 of them at the 75min.for his 2nd.yellow, and the other in the 89min. for a blatant HACK on McGeady.

Re: Scottish Football Thread
Scott McDonald has turned into a bit of a softcock of late whining when things don't go his way and and going to ground a bit easily, although I have to admit he did bite his tongue with the offside decision just before the end.

it's called Nerves, when we scored the 2nd. all hell broke loose.

Re: Scottish Football Thread
One match on tomorrow in Scotland.
Gretna v Hearts
Could Gretna actually get soemthing out of this match, with Hearts not in the greatest form at the moment.
Being a Queen of the South supporter, i hope that Hearts can give them an absolute spanking. And send what ever fans Gretna have left, crashing either into Division 1 or into the grave where the club seems to be heading

New chant that will be sung at the FA Cup final, something for the Rangers fans
It's to the tune of "The Entertainer" (Felix cat food tune)
"Tell all of the Gers that you know
That we're winnin' the cup and they're no'!
We've got Dobbie and Reid
Jim Thomson's the heid
And they've only got Nacho Novo!!!"

Both clubs are from the same area, Dumfries and Galloway.

Gretna 1-0 Hearts
I didn't think Hearts were travelling that badly, bloody hell.
