Greek Play Offs

Play offs begin this Thurs night (Hellas time) between teams placed 2nd to 5th to determine Hellas's second Champions League spot. Teams play home & away. First games are:
Aris-PAO
AEK-Panionios

A mini table starts with the following points per team:
AEK 8
PAO 7
Aris 2
Panionios 0

Are any of those games going to shown on Ert?

i would assume that those games will be played on whoever has the rights for the teams. for example. AEK play on Antenna, so Im guessing AEK's game with Panionios will be shown on Antenna. PAO games are shown on ERT so there games will be shown on that.

Unless its different for the playoff games but I dont know.

But then again we dont know if it will be AEK or Olympiakos competing in the playoffs. so this may be postponed for a week or two

one of these teams should borrow tumer off larissa, that way it'll mean that the team he plays with start 1-0 up each game.

Thnx. I had a look at the tv guide for thurday/friday but nothing was listed.

Aris and PAO home games will be on ERT-Sat
AEK and Panionios on ANT1.

Super League play-off schedule released
21 Apr 2008

CAS's decision to reject Apollon Kalamarias' appeal earlier today means that AEK, Panathinaikos, Aris and Panionios will compete in the Super League play-off format that leads into two UEFA competition spots - 2nd place team gets a Champions League spot, and 3rd place team gets a UEFA spot.

I really hope it will be Aris and Panionios.

its not hard finding who plays on which tv, go onto the official site of the channel and they'll have it there in greek, if you's understand greek.

Larisa unlucky not to make play offs considering that they had same points and better goal difference. I guess its based on a head to head ratio?

yes head to head.
Larissa were on fire in the 2nd half of the season.

Next year i would expect them to be top 4.

dont no about that kopaki... aris have the best coach in Greece and should hold onto 4th spot... unless paok pull their finger out!!!

Dont even mention that pigs name mate!!!

On 2nd thought probably right abt Larissa.
Galitsios is gone to the gavroi (Best right back in Greece imho)
Donis will go to AEK or PAO.
Cleyton is 99% gone for big money abroad or to Olympiakos
and, that Turk will probably go back.

BTW, did u see the goals for PAOK on the weekend.
That Athanasiadis kid will be a gun, his first goal was classic TR1 sexy football!!
Denis Bergkamp turn and nutmeg through the legs in 1 motion then a classy finish.
I wont talk about the rest of the game..........

i still remember his first game as coach of olympiakos at filadelfia, that was very interesting to say the least
