bad language with junior grades
I have just come back from watching an U15 game where ( in my opinion) I believe the referee should have picked up on the language that was being used. I don't think it's a very good look to the clubs when this age group continually uses bad language on the field. I know it's through frustration but it should be discouraged and I believe if warnings are given from the referees that it won't be tolorated this could help contain this growing culture.

Re: bad language with junior grades
player frustration should not equal poor discipline and the refs should be carding it carries a penalty

i was only red carded for having too much skill equalling an unfair advantage and the ref didn't like it...
not my problem

Some people on here do not know who you are.....some do. Those that do would like to thank you for the comedy relief you provide so often. Like I've said before......"you really crease me up"Black_Magick wrote:no never.rabbit wrote:Wasn't you by any chance was it?Black_Magick wrote:last year couple of games i played the ref gave straight red for bad language.

i tried getting fifa to create a gold card so they can give it to me when ever the refs see a beautiful piece of skill/play by a team or a player.
but they said it would be unfair coz only i would get it, well me and messi.

My son has just done a level 5 ref's course and according to him, it's abusive language directed at another player.
He also commented that it doesn't get picked up on the field very often.
I have seen coaches pull players up for it, but not often.

Re: bad language with junior grades
i think it depends on when the bad language is used.
if a player swears frustrated at themself for making a mistake is different to a player swearing directly at players and the ref

I reckon it should all be picked up. I'm sure that Mother, Fathers, siblings, etc. don't want to hear it.
IMO, Just play the game!

My lad's a defender and loves it when the opposition start swearing at him, it shows they are getting frustrated
I wonder how many players understand this business of allowing yourself to become angry and frustrated, not realising that it reduces your effectiveness because you're thinking about your feelings, not the game.
