Re: sackings
Sounds like the season doesn't officially start at Croydon until they get rid of a coach. I heard last year they sacked the 17C coach just before the first game and then the 17A coach with about 5 games to go, the year before the 14C coach apparently made it to the first trial before leaving. I wonder if that's why they struggle to get sides in the A grades?
BTW, was the Croydon 16s coach the 15s coach at Enfield last year that left when they were in last place mid season?

Re: sackings
Would'nt suprise at one club he had a opinion of every player on team(not as good as his son) when coach gave him his opinion on his little superstar(not as good as daddy thinks he is) he packed sh*ts and left. His idea of a good coach is someone who agrees with him on his lad and gives him full game. Real funny thing is the only thing he knows about the game is the ball is round and we have two goals

wasnt he our state coach at some stage?
Re: sackings
At one stage he was named as coach for a state junior side in the 80's, but was removed after protests when about 9 players from his club team were named - the same team as he is involved with now as it happens. Aparently some of "his" parents were not happy at the time when their boy was dropped by the replacement coach because they had booked travel, etc, before the trials. I'm not sure, but he may have had another chance to coach a state side since then.deigo wrote:Topgun wrote:jeff napier [his hero]Flashin D8 wrote:Would'nt suprise at one club he had a opinion of every player on team(not as good as his son) when coach gave him his opinion on his little superstar(not as good as daddy thinks he is) he packed sh*ts and left.
