Sydney given wildcard for Asian Champions League

Sydney FC have been given a free spot for the upcoming Asian Champions League after an undisclosed side withdrew from the competition for financial reasons. AFC announced Sydney FC will take there place in an astounding announcement "Sydney FC are a small giant and deserve exposure, they were unlucky not to qualify for the finals this season, and we would love for them to have the opportunity this time around"
Sydney FC saviour John Kosmina commented this morning on the sensational news hours after his side drew the first leg of there semi final with Queensland Roar. "Well we are a big side, and big sides play in big tournaments, we think we can give it a real shake, but now we have the A-League finals to worry about".
