Flinders Flames coaching positions

Post by Keeps »

Flinders Flames Women’s Soccer Club is seeking coaching staff for the 2008 season and beyond. Based at Flinders University, the Flames are a well supported growing club, currently fielding 3 open age teams from development to Div 1. The club is striving to expand to the Premier Division and Juniors in the near future.

Please contact bel@mkdw.net for more information.

Many thanks.

Maybe Div 2?? That's not against the rules! Or SAWSA may end up with a Div 4 team also, I mean all those players from U17's aren't all going to necessarily go into an existing seniors team.

There have been clubs in the past who have only had the one juniors team, and they have groomed them up and kept them together and eventually they have outgrown the juniors comp in age and gone into the lowest senior division.

If this happens with a few clubs, SAWSA will be forced to put in an extra Division, due to their commitment to maintaining the divisions at 10 teams each. Plus clubs like Modbury in the men's league and Villa in the Amateurs have been talking about putting in women's teams. If they get enough there will be a Div 4 in 2008.

Well Flinders will never move, it's their ground they are "Flinders Uni Soccer Club"

I guess they'll either both be there again, or Cumby will find somewhere else.

Next year will be even harder for the two clubs to share, as Flinders intend to put in another team, and SAWSA have made it so all Reserves and Prem games have a set kick-off time. 1pm and 3pm.... Means less room for flexibility.

Since when did this come in??????
How can SAWSA force all clubs to go along with this????
What about clubs that have to work around mens teams who also play at 1.00pm and 3.00pm???

This is a results of a request from the Premier League clubs at the Review of Season 2007 Delegates Meeting. If you don't agree I'd suggest you talk to your Delegate, because perhaps they're not representing your clubs interests????

It is apparently the view of many that the only way to make the Women's Premier league more professional in its conduct and get referees etc to take it seriously as a competition is to make it more like the men's and standardise kick-off times for the top divisions

Such as??

I always find it incredibly interesting that Delegates don't seem to adequately represent the views of the playing group or club supporters.

Do you guys speak to your Delegates about the things you think should be improved??

SAWSA sent out a survey to all delegates at the end of the season, around the same time as the Cup Final and asked the delegates to pass the survey onto all players, members, parents etc.

Did you receive it from your Club Delegate?? Did you complete it??
