If both teams agree to it then it is usually left to the ref to make a final decision. I have seen it in the over 35's & C' teams on Sunday's.Penalty11 wrote:I played in the 10th division a few years ago and I'm positive there are no Interchange players allowed in the Amateur League.Forget about the 2 clubs agreeing it's a no no!nugget66 wrote:over 35s are interchange & think c team can be if both clubs agree???
The Saturday league are less likely to agree to it. They think it's World Cup! Joking laaaaaaads!

All o/35 games definitely are interchange. I think it's a good idea.Penalty11 wrote:I played in the 10th division a few years ago and I'm positive there are no Interchange players allowed in the Amateur League.Forget about the 2 clubs agreeing it's a no no!nugget66 wrote:over 35s are interchange & think c team can be if both clubs agree???
I'm very happy to have moved to West Ham, because I can play for a better team than Sheffield Wednesday.

The only change I can see it having on the game is the tempo being raised.nugget66 wrote:I think it's a great idea for the over 35's but I'd hate to change to it full time it changes the game to much.
This would surely make the game more entertaining to watch. I'd be all for it being brought in throughout the amateur league.

Interchange.....?? Guys like beckham would still be playing when they're 60..... Set pieces would be a farce, look at american football - takes 5 hours to play an hour game.....
Changes the simplicity of the game to much, hey i can see it being positive in the lower grades; especially when there's 17 guys wanting to get a run and it's not for sheep-stations, but realisticly, it opens a whole new can of worms.

With a squad like that, of course he would....J5 wrote:I read something recently that Alex Ferguson would like to see an increase in the number of possible substitutions. So instead of 3 we could see 5 or 6. Now that would change the way the game is played and the need for bigger squads.

What about some of the "not so well off" clubs?

Not arguing his position mate, but it would also affect clubs in SA too. Just think of it from coaching perspective. You could replace numerous players with "fresh" players, especially in the midfield and up front to keep the pace of game high. This would of course then mean that defenders would also need to be subbed if fresh and fast forwards come on and start out running them. It could also increase the liklihood of more goals being scored in a game.
Besides it's all conjecture and interesting theory of the affect at the moment.
