In 2006 I played in div 2 against a team called Pumas. They didn't have any changerooms. However, that is the only team I have played against without them.stell wrote:can any1 pls give info bout change rooms ......................do we need them or not................PS we still decided bout name Real Almaz ........or Real Ethnikos ...wat u think

There should be some basic standards that clubs have to meet in the SAASL. I am all up for new clubs forming , and there has been some successful clubs start up in the past few years (Gryphons, Wanderers, Asteras to name a few). Clubs without basic facilities (changerooms, running water, hot showers) should not be admitted to the league.

y start ur own team ... do u relise its just not arranging one team ...
who will wash the strips
who will be the linesman when needed
who will be ur team manager
who will go to SAASL meetings
and lots more
to many ppl here who critise commitee members and their beliefs
at least they take the time out of their life to help their club

Have to agree with bloodypassit, running a team takes alot more than turning up on sunday, and unless you got afew sponsors to pay the bills throughout the year you find that it wont be cheap either.bloodypassit wrote:y start ur own team ... do u relise its just not arranging one team ...

My advice is if you wanna play in the the lower leagues with your mates go
to an existing club around your area and became there C team.
Anyway good luck to ya with what ever u do.

Didnt an african team do this in Div 1 a few years back. I remember going to watch our C grade play, forget who against, but the team they were playing were playing in different strips, had different supporters, and no one stayed around to watch the ressies and A grade. Want till later I found out that it was kind of a club, within a club. Specially with some clubs in the higher divs unable to field a C grade team, this may be an option for the guys for at least a few years.

What division is that Paleon Patros Germanos?Paleon Patros Germanos wrote:I was actually doing some sums last night and it cost us approx $12,000 to get the team onto the park.
And that didnt include the purchase of playing kits and gross expenses for functions and the canteen.
So Stell it can cost quite a bit.
