Do you mean...what should we call soccer? or is it AFL vs the world game FOOTBALL? In any case it should be called Football and I love the Beaut Game!

hah i work in a oub n last nite i asked them to put the football on in the other room and theyre like wat footy? n im like nah football! n they go oh soccer! n im like nah its football asshole! and i started quite the debate!

Sam Newman was an absolute Wanker last night on the Footy Show at the begining when he came out, saying that it's called soccer not football etc.!

Why do people here still seem to have a problem with calling it football.?

becoz they grew up knowing it is as soccer and probably follow AFL hence they don't think the confusion is worth it...

It all depends on what you knew the game as when you were growing up.

To me, living in the UK until I was 30, then Football is Football.
To my kids, who have lived in Australia almost all of their lives, then it is Soccer....

To me also bein born in the uk i also relate to it as football...football is the world game and always will be therfore why should australia be any different by callin it soccer??
