How bad is the Womens fifa world cup

Post by Baptista »

Just wanted to ask many of you if these women are proffesional players because they certainly dont look like it. I understand women cannot be as good or powerful as men are that soccer due to the diffrent physical capabilities. But i expected the women to be atleast as good as super league reserves which they are not. The goal keepers are also shockers! Any feminists on this forum do not rip into me but i was just wondering why they are so bad!

The women arent professional soccer players..
If they were they would be getting paid to play ..
They recive bar minimum money when they go away on tour ..and thats it!

It would be a different story if they made more money there4 allowing them to have more time to train etc.

i am a feminists - and im guinan rip into u...

women (not just soccer players) but all over the world dont get paid.
i dont know if u read REBECCA WILSON's artical in yesterday's paper but she listed everything about our womens soccer squad...

i wldnt say the gk's are shockers - bubs is awesome as was the canadian gk too..
like always theres one person who copmpares women to men - and if ppl keep doing that u aint gunna get anywhere..
at the end of the day u cant keep comparing women to men - u can do that in the kitchen but not on the sporting field!
if a womens TEAM got a quarter of what harry kewel or david beckham get we would be laughing and it would set the team up for life probably...

Very harsh.

Women and Men footballers are very different.

On average Women footballers do not have the raw physical strength of men. In my view they tend to be a little slower off the mark, a little slower to turn and a little slower to change direction.

However they do have an advantage upstairs. They are better listeners, require less instruction and are better at following instructions.

They rely more on teamwork and passing and less on individuality.

I find Women's football to be very entertaining. The games are much more open - more like Mens football used to be.

Have you ever played against a competitive Womens team? Much tougher than it looks!! They hit a lot harder than you expect.

You quickly work out that you cant hold back because if you do the Women tear you apart.

There are Women players out there who are more talented than many of the male players running around in the Super League.

Womens football is good in this state but I feel it has a huge potential to become even better. I think that what has let womens players down in the past, generally speaking, is not the players but their past coaches. Some coaches if they are playing mixed leagues will concentrate on the boys alot more then the girls (this I have seen) which is very unfair, also maybe past coaches have coached to help out and not taken it seriously and obviously in turn been detrimental to the players abilities/skills progressing.

You had better add Norway to your list of excellent Womens Football playing Nations. They do have the 2000 Olympic Gold to their credit. Should be a great game between Germany and Norway. :) :) I reckon the winner of the World Cup will come from that Semi.
