Prems
Adelaide City 4 (scalzi 3, ebs 1) vs Para Hills 1

Scrappy game really, city had most of the possession, unlucky to score a few more. Para also had many chances to put a few away but windy conditions didnt help.

A fair result 4-1 as BOTH teams could have scored more. Also the 4th goal came well after 90 minutes, but that is the refs call. A scappy game, yes due to the wind but both teams had to deal with it.

Yeah it was gubs......
You were probably lucky not to be out there watching... Very cold very windy and the dust was terrible.

This is not true - Cumby were goinig to be there at the time listed in the fixtures booklet, but apparently that was incorrect.

watched the 1st half of this game and must say that City had their chances but couldnt put it away...

taking nothing away from the knights they defended well as a team and they can only get better for next year...

mattieg1200 - according to the fixtures booklet on the SAWSA site U15 para hills knights kick off is 12pm - maybe that's why cumberland missed the kick off.

That would be true except where changes were made AFTER the fixture booklet has been printed... Then SAWSA send out an email advising of changes:

This email was sent on 15/5/07 by Wendy to all Delegates, who were asked to distribute it to the relevant people within their club.

Dear all

Please note the changes for Para Hills Knights Under 15s and Under 17s. These time changes have also been changed in the fixture booklet.

Regards

Wendy Carter
Executive Officer
SA Women's Soccer Assoc

Attachement contained the following:

Changes to Fixtures and Kick off times for Para Hills Knights

27/05/07 - U15a v South Adelaide 11.00am Kick Off (Outside Pitch)
U17b v Salisbury 2.00pm Kick Off

10/06/07 – U15a v Elizabeth Downs 9.30am Kick Off
U17b v Adelaide Olympic 11.00am Kick Off

26/08/07 - U15a v Campbelltown 11.00am Kick Off

16/09/07 – U15a v Cumberland 9.30am Kick Off
U17b v Para Hills Junior 11.00am Kick Off

Looks like Cumby has some internal communication issues if this info went out on 15/5... Plenty of notice.

OK. No-one is perfect and mistakes happen - fact of life unfortunately.
However, it is still true that the U15 girls had every intention of playing that day, and implication that they couldnt be bothered to turn up was inappropriate.
I will discuss this no further.
