How come the FFSA have not yet posted the scores and the final tables on the website, usually this is done as late as Monday night.

Anyone know why the delay?

Should be a good game if both teams field full strength sides....very evenly matched.

They did beat Adel City 19s, but lost to Campbelltown 19s, but Adel City beat Campbelltown 5-0, football is a tricky game, results could vary fro day to day.

Blue Eagles 2-2 Northern Demons

Game was played in good spirit, until the end when the referee called a dubious penalty decision over a 50/50 challenge, Demons slotted the penalty which was deemed as the last kick of the match. Ref was to blame in no mans mind was that a penalty, cost Blue Eagles the season because I heard that Seaford have forfeited the game against them is this correct?

Unlucky Blue Eagles, you will find it hard know to get back the difference in goals with Adel City, if Adel City keep winning they will win the league.

Gez how unlucky for blue eagles to basically loose the season in the last minute!
with city and abe still to play seafod and city 10 or so goals ahead!
well i shouldnt think seafod would forfiet, ffsa wouldnt let them dnt think! unless they want a fine!

Yea the goal diffrence is actually 17 goals so will be preatty hard to catch the goal diffrence in one game. Unlucky to blue eagles to lose in dying seconds.. great result for city. can anyone else give there oppinion on the penalty?

How unlucky for ABE to draw in the last mins... they would be devestated. Although congradulatiuons to the boys of city, they did the double unless they lose to seaford.

the penalty was almost EXACTLY the same as the lucas neil penalty in the world cup. the eagles player won the ball just inside the box after a threw ball and had turned around and was brought down by the momentum of a demons player who went and tripped over the eagles player legs. Penalty was awarded and the eagles player was yellow carded...

ABE Player won the ball IMO. The linesman flagged for offside as the thru ball was passed, but the referee waved it down. The match was about 3 minutes over time at this point. Leaves a sour taste in the mouth. If Demons scored a legitimate goal then you take it on the chin. Also, this was the last player so ABE defender should have been sent off. I thought the rules were clear on this?

That said, an incident 10 minutes earlier saw an ABE defender lean all over a Demons player bearing down on goal (from an angle just outside the box). The ABE defender fell over in front of the Demons player and won the free kick?? Should've been a Demons free-kick, and possible a booking for the ABE defender.

Demons centre forward was very quick and there did not seem enough defensive cover at the back on many occasions. This was evidenced by the equaliser that the Demons scored early in the second half. ABE should've learnt from that.

I only saw the second half but I was told that ABE had plenty of chances to score to put the game beyond doubt. Wasn't it Thierry Henry that said "if you want to win games you have to score goals"?

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger...
