The paper says Iraq coach Jorvan Viera has been approached by FFA.
Dick Advocaat still front runner allegedly with Pim Verbeek in the mix too.

i dont think the socceroos will get him, if they do i think it would be big mistake. we need someone with class, experince. someone who really know what hes doing both tactically and in terms of preparation.

i dont think we should have any coaches from asia . the amount of diving def would not be embraced by australians

yes i know this but my point is he has coached in asia for like the last 10 years . he knows the game in asia and i did not see his team stop diving . he obviously either tells them to dive or he allows it . if australia started to dive all the time and fake injury's you would not see me travel for a socceroo game again or care if it was on
the only thing i think he could offer australia is his knowledge of the asian game .

South americans are pretty good at diving too. It's not limited to Asia.

lets not forget italia V Oz, Germany 2006
and b4 anyone has a go at me, you cannot argue the fact that it was
more of a triple spin reverse pike, than just a plain dive
