So coach if we win 1 nil and Harry scores you pick up $120.00.....where did you lay a bet like that and what was your outlay?

I still think Emerton deserves a game, although hope Wiltshire doesn't get a start - also Cahill probably off the bench again, 3-5-2 looks good though also Aloisi starting upfront would be a good idea

Would also like to see Carle introduced at some stage - the Australian based players are used to playing in heat (although not the humidity) don't think he'd suffer like some of the others

What about archie thompson?
He's got pace so could work well off Viduka, and he would be desperate to play well! Unlike the looks of some of the players against Oman

Yeh, I was going to play Emerton but he hasnt impressed me in the lead up games so, I left him out. Kisnorbo will play better in the middle. Bresciano is better in the middle than out wide. Dont know why Arnold plays him there but at the end of the day he is the coach!

i agree with pires7, we have nothing up front, we are taking to long to get the ball from the midfield to the strikers and Viduka has no pace. Archie should come on, he brings some pace and i think he will cause a few headaches for the Iraqi defence.
Cahill needs to come on. How can he start Holman and how can they let Wilkshire take dead-balls when Bresciano is the specialists. Fucken pathetic, all signs look to be a loss but i think Cahill might have to save the day again.

How can we lose, this is a catastrophe, we have players playing in the top leagues of Europe and Iraq have no one playing in the top leagues and we lose to them!

This is disgraceful they need a new coach, bring Marcelo Lippi!

doesnt matter wether iraq have a training pitch or not, and its not a matter of humiliation, how u can u be humiliated by a team that plays better than u? that thing that gets to me is people like Neill coming out a few months ago and saying they will "walk it" arnold says "if we dont win it i consider that to be a failure" for crying out loud! iraq deserver their win, they werent a class better than australia, they were two classes better, first game was a wake up call people said, whats this then?

the whole team (lucas neill especially) thinks that asia is easy. statements like "we will go through the whole tournament undefeated" and "we'll start off slowly and then start winning" will almost always come back to bite you on the ass.

australia isn't as good as they think and if they don't realise this soon the only aussies at South Africa 2010 will be the SBS commentary team.

how about some of the shocking defending!!! Pathetic

We talked about brining on Archie Thompson which didn't work, John Aloisi looked like a turtle out there, why not bring on technical players like Nick Carle who wants to give his all for Australia unlike some of the players who Arnold suggested "didn't even want to be there"!!!!!
