There were some very well hit goals (we can usually let players in our division hit from that range without too much danger), unfortunately we didn't have such riches from the A's who weren't cup-tied... at least we get a weekend off during the season. Interesting to see Nick James hiding away in our clubrooms during the game...

So what would you have said if you were making up excuses for him?Gabon wrote:there were some nice goals there. As for Nick hiding he was standing with our supporters for the first half at least, not going to make any excuses up for him but perhaps it might have been too cold for him as he is a bit older and went to the clubrooms at half time as the game was basically over.

doesnt sound like NJ though, hiding away and all that...
He's floated around in the background at a couple of our games this year...

athelstone clubrooms. the jets reserve team have a more than capable coach who was in charge of his team. i attended the game with my son and his girlfriend, on a cold evening we watched most of the second half through the clubroom window.

It started off well with both teams having some chances early in the game, if FC Adelaide were going to score it was going to come from that #8 who was very skillful on the ball and very quick off it but when Bosna Adelaide scored their first they wernt going to stop, while #8 for FC adelaide was trying to create havoc for the Bosna defence, he couldnt fing the back of the net. HT 0-5.SAOPAOLO 10 wrote:Bosna seemed to have left their mark. bit of a demolition. what happened?
The second half started off with a goal for Bosna Adelaide straight away from the kickoff. The second half was completely dominated by Bosna Adelaide and you could tell that Bosna were the fitter of the two sides. FT 0-9
FC Adelaide arent as bad as the score reads, they proabaly just had a bad game with some important players out or something. In the end Bosna played quite well especially with a key player out, and the signing they made just a few weeks ago from the state league looks to be paying off.

not a club to make excuses but we were short 3 or 4 of our regular first team players through injury/illness/unavailability etc.SAOPAOLO 10 wrote:Bosna seemed to have left their mark. bit of a demolition. what happened?
so a few of our reserve players were pushed up but not having played with the rest of the group before makes it pretty hard to gel in just one game because there were so many changes.
all credit to bosna for capitalising on our mistakes and our lack of finishing certainly cost us..all the best in rounds to come.
one comment overheard from the sidelines however left a bitter taste - one bosna youngster was heard to say to his mate "saturday league sides are sh*t bro" - to catch a reasonable side out on a bad day should not be the benchmark in making that determination
dont forget, a mixed team from FC Adelaide only lost 3-1 to the Downs at Argana park, a team with a lot more depth and playing in a far tougher league than your own..take a look at sat div 1 and the likes of st peters, gleeson etc and i wouldnt be saying saturday league sides are sh*t, also considering BOSA made the final of this competition last year...say no more, sheer ignorance!
on the upside, after hearing all the talk about Bosna supporters and behaviour, i saw none of these problems as their crowd and players were super well behaved - but of course they were winning

I agree, whoever said that is an idiot, because i know that the Sat Div is quite good, the supporters and the players were well behaved but that was only a few away supporters lol, you should see all our supporters at home especially when the ressies play aswell, alot more lol, ummm and also the game against grove where there was a bit of a brawl we won too, so its mostly when we win that theres problem.... good luck for the rest of your season anfieldboyanfieldboy wrote:not a club to make excuses but we were short 3 or 4 of our regular first team players through injury/illness/unavailability etc.SAOPAOLO 10 wrote:Bosna seemed to have left their mark. bit of a demolition. what happened?
