Tonights catch up games

Post by BocaChiefs »

U17A's
Campbelltown 3-0 Modbury

Campbelltown were down to 9 men for the last 15 minutes becasue 2 players got 2 yellows to each. The soffest red cards I've seen in my life. The linesman should have no say in whether a player gets sent off.

One was for saying to the parents calm down and the other was the linesman saw a bad tackle the ref didn't (which it wasn't), he then told the ref and the ref gave the second yellow.

Have been browsing these forums for a while and although I am not qualified to criticise referees, it seems there a lot of people not happy with their performances. Do they need to be qualified? Was reading a post last week where someone was concerned that a referee was actually a junior delegate for the home team? Surely that shouldn't happen? Was he an accredited referee or a fill in for the night? Certainly a little unethical at best. Mind you, tough job....I'd rather just watch and enjoy the game.

U15A's

Western Strikers 1 - 4 Modbury Jets

Jets just too good on this occasion. And of course, it helped that they had their two centre backs available.

Havent heard too much whinging lately (except a bit above) so the referees must be doing a good job, how have the games this past mid week been Squizzy, Boca Chiefs, corona?

the referees we have had all year have been fairly good, no complaints here, even though my sons team has lost most of their games, that is their own fault, cant blame anyone else

Only if the linesman is a qualified and an FFSA official which he wasn't in this case. If the ref doesnt see the challenge no action should be taken.
