Do yu think money is hurting the big leagues in Europe especially England?
Yes but it has also greatly improved the leagues also
Do you think the new TV rights deal in England will help to bridge the gap between the top and bottom cubs?
No, probably widen the cap because the big clubs will get a bigger share and therefore more airtime to sell to sponsors and attract players
Has money taken away the air of romance around the big leagues and cups? ie Millwall making the FA Cup final, Exeter forcing FA Cup replay with Man U
No, it has shown that on the day, anyone can win.
Do you think the foreign investment in the big European clubs is helping or degrading the standard of the clubs/leagues? ie the big 4 in England all under foreign control
Its degrading the league. The gap between the top 4 and the rest is getting bigger
Do you think there is a link between the recent strugles of national teams like England and Spain and the fact that their big clubs are under big money foreign control and due to their plays high money demands?
Definately. Its cheaper to buy a player than develop 20 and hope that one turns out alright
Do you think national team coaches have preferences for the players of the big top four clubs? ie continually playing Lampard for England when others appear in better form
No because the national team coach is under pressure to perform. He will pick who he feels will help the national side
Do yu think clubs focus on buying instant success is hurting the future and progress of national teams? ie Arsenal having no English players in Starting XI most of this season
Definately but it can also develop players. Playing and training with quality can rub off on other players
Thanks again

Yes definately, the gap between the usual suspects and the rest is huge and the price for tickets is getting worse, too many clubs who move into the Prem like Birmingham hike their prices upto to $140 each just to make money, its taking the game away from the local people and more into the corporate boxes, just look at the amount of tickets that went to companies for the CL and FA finals.
Do you think the new TV rights deal in England will help to bridge the gap between the top and bottom cubs?
No, the big clubs get more TV time and therefore more money
Has money taken away the air of romance around the big leagues and cups? ie Millwall making the FA Cup final, Exeter forcing FA Cup replay with Man U
Not really, it still has the air of romance
Do you think the foreign investment in the big European clubs is helping or degrading the standard of the clubs/leagues? ie the big 4 in England all under foreign control
Absolutely, the money they spend, they want back and they normally get it from corporate sponsorship
Do you think there is a link between the recent strugles of national teams like England and Spain and the fact that their big clubs are under big money foreign control and due to their plays high money demands?
Possibly, the players dont play for the shirt anymore or pride, its all about cash
Do you think national team coaches have preferences for the players of the big top four clubs? ie continually playing Lampard for England when others appear in better form
Yep, they are under increasing pressure to play big name players even if they are in a rut of poor form, look at Beckham, he shouldnt have been in the last 3 championships for England
Do yu think clubs focus on buying instant success is hurting the future and progress of national teams? ie Arsenal having no English players in Starting XI most of this season
Yes, definately. Liverpool have just "released" Steve Highway from his post after the youth team he has developed won the FA youth cup twice in a row, the likelihood of 3 of them lads making the grade in the Prem is virtually nil now.
Thanks again
The young boys said unto him....."go up baldhead, go up"......so he did, rose like a salmon and nodded the ball into the net......1 nil! ![Smile :-)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Of course it is, the game is being taken away from the common man. How are a father and son supposed to be able to afford to go to football anymore. I can remember turning up and paying on the door to watch arsenal v man, now you have to book months in advance and be lucky to get a ticket. How is that going to motivate the next generation of football supporters.
Do you think the new TV rights deal in England will help to bridge the gap between the top and bottom cubs?
hahahahaha It will help the rich get richer, look what happened after the collapse of ITV digital, did you see the big clubs rallying round to help. Look at the collapse of Leeds that shows that life outside the premiership is almost unaffordable.
Has money taken away the air of romance around the big leagues and cups? ie Millwall making the FA Cup final, Exeter forcing FA Cup replay with Man U
Trust me, when Millwall made the Cup Final, the romance was there. On the edge of my seat for 90 minutes of the semi final and then paid $6,000 just in flights so myself and my family would not miss it. One of the greatest days of my life was seeing my team in the FA Cup Final
Do you think the foreign investment in the big European clubs is helping or degrading the standard of the clubs/leagues? ie the big 4 in England all under foreign control
It's helping the standard of those sides but davaluing the rest. Why would Roman Abramovich bother buying an unproven striker from League One when he can just buy a proven striker like Schevchenko. Thus negating the lower league lifeline of developing up and coming players.
Do you think there is a link between the recent strugles of national teams like England and Spain and the fact that their big clubs are under big money foreign control and due to their plays high money demands?
I do not believe in the high player demands causing a problem BUT when arsenal put out a 16 man squad that doesn't have an Englishman in it, how is that good for the English national side. Look at the big 4, how many Englishman playing regularly for those sides.
Do you think national team coaches have preferences for the players of the big top four clubs? ie continually playing Lampard for England when others appear in better form
100% yes. Especially in England, if you are playing for the big 4 then you have a better chance just becuase you are in the limelight. I mean Alan Smith getting a game for England proves that.
Do yu think clubs focus on buying instant success is hurting the future and progress of national teams? ie Arsenal having no English players in Starting XI most of this season
I refer you to my previous mention of that Arsenal side, and the development of younger players in lower league sides who will not have the opportunity to move up the levels.
