Campbelltown 1-4 South Adelaide.
Campbelltown dominated this game with about 65% of the posession but couldn't capitalise on ther 20-30 chances they had. Again the ref didn't show up which is poor and in my mind should get fined because it is now 4 or 5 times this has happened in an U17A's league match.

Dear Bocachiefs
Not sure if you watched the same game I did.
Effective possession would have been around 50/50 at best.
Your club supplied the ref and I cannot see how you can be complaining in any way whatsoever unless you feel aggrieved about missing out on at least three yellow cards for two footed challenges from behin as well as booting the ball away after an offside decision even though your ref had cautioned the souths keeper for kicking the ball away only minutes before, and and not getting picked up for handball on at least half a dozen occassions.
Try playing as a team. Having a two pronged group of 10 v 11 and 1 v 11
simply doesnt work as evidenced by the numerous comments and complaints by some team members and your supporters towards your coach and another player.
Felt sorry for your injured player who was abandoned and left up to opposition to go around the pitch to offer assistance.
Hope he is ok.
Remove the rose tinted glasses and best of luck for the rest of the season

Listen hear mate I wasn't complaining about the ref I was merely saying that the FFSA should fine refs who do not rock up to games when asked to. I wasn't complaining about the ref which I think he did a good job under the circumstances and was fair on both behalfs. Campbelltown had more of the ball and if they had scored the chnaces they had you would have lost 20-0 not won 4-1. South Adelaide had 6 shots at goal and scored 4 of them so don't say it was 50/50 posession buddy.
Good Luck for the rest of the season mate

Re: Catch Up Match
I have seen several 17s matches and heard a couple of times of 17s not having a ref. That is very poor considering this is 17s. Its the closest to the senior levels and each game should have a FFSA referee.BocaChiefs wrote:Campbelltown 1-4 South Adelaide.

Once you start getting to the ages of U15/ U16 and U17 it gets very serious and its unfair for a parent or a club offical who volunteers his time to ref the game. The FFSA need to address this issue because its becoming a consitant issue.

Agree that FFSA should look into why ref did not turn up and ask some questions.BocaChiefs wrote:Listen hear mate I wasn't complaining about the ref I was merely saying that the FFSA should fine refs who do not rock up to games when asked to. Good Luck for the rest of the season mate
Was one requested ?.presume so
Did the ref panel appoint anyone ?
If so what happened to him/her ?
Never said your ref was biased as he tried to be as fair as he felt he could behowever it seemed as though he felt intimidated and certainly should have punished those tackles properly as would an independant ref.
Mate, not sure how you arrived at 20 odd chances. The keeper made a few saves and souths also hit the bar a couple of times plus had a number of shots wide and over the bar but I dont count those where a player tries to dribble through a pack repeatedly and ignore his unmarked or better positioned teammates despite their screaming for the ball only to lose it every time on first or second tackle. You guys need to sit down with your coach and sort out some team harmony and mutual respect as well as tone down the language on the field towards each other and your coach.
Surely you can express yourselves without using the "F" word every sentence. A proper ref could well have sent most of you off for abusive language

Your own spectators (presume players parents) expressed these sentiments and also commented on the injured player and that they were going to put in a written protest to their own club because they were unhappy about the lack of concern. Not sure if they will in the cold light of day but as the opposition on the night I was very disappointed by that incident. Player wellbeing comes first, second and third hence why the originally scheduled match was postponed because of possible danger to players
If you play as a team then you have the players to be successful and possibly even win the competition so why not get it sorted now before the leaders get away.

Andy_Pipkin you are a true gentleman and supporter of the World game of real football. You have offered an opposition team constructive advice and hopefully "mouth shots" like Bocachiefs will read, digest and learn. Maybe your comments should be passed onto the club.
You are absolutely correct to say that first, second and third priority is to an injured player, irrespective of the side he/she plays for.
It seems that one side on this night not only forgot its sportsmanship but its duty of care to its players.
Not a good example to those who watched the game.
