Wow, you guy's are giving cops way too much credit here. Do you honestly think they would waste their valuable time on this when there are so many fines to be issued, and crime scenes to attend. Let's not forget, cops are the kings of post incident investigation, not pre-incident response or control. Don't waste their time because you think you're going to be murdered; only call them once its actually happened.

Can't hurt to contact ur local constabulary if the threat of violence is imminent. Especially if there is a history of violence from these clubs. Couple of uniforms might settle the mood and keep them honest.

It should definitely make them behave themselves for one game at the very least. The saasl could probably turn it into a money spinner by creating a lottery/auction whereby the opponent and ref for that match will be chosen based on the highest bidders.
