With you on this one. Human lives were lost on both occasions, chants about any such incident are abhorrent.

I take it you can't answer my question, I won't be so rude.

Quite a few
Quite a few

How many of them were football supporters who went along to watch their team like I did every week at that time?

I am not going to defend anyone singing songs. but Munich and Hillsborough are totally different and cant be compared.

Genuine question, does Man Utd remember the Munich victims on their logo? You have the Clock with Munich 58 on it, but do the fans get a memory every time they buy merchandise? If not, why not?

Munich and Hillsborough are two completely different events with the result being that people connected to a football club lost their lives.

One of these disasters has a greater importance to Liverpool fans and one to United fans. Simple.

Nicky Tanner, I find it interesting that you defend yourself for singing those vile songs back in the day because 'Almost anything went back then'.

You are like a gutter journalist.

Only mentioning part of what I said - you really do amaze me.

I was young and did/said stupid things.

How many people at UTD games knew (not just idolised) people who lost their lives? That's the difference, if you cant see that you are more bonkers than I ever imagined!

Seeing famous people die is not the same as seeing people die you went to games with.

I lost 3 friends, was there and suffered from it.

AND I am not defending anyone. What happened at football in the 80s was horrific. You wouldn't know, as you probably didn't go week in week out....

Singing about any people dying is off limits. Be it Hillsborough, Munich, or Frank Lampard's mum.

There is no "better" or "worse" of the chants, they are both shit and people who sing them oro make reference to them should be kicked out of stadiums

West Ham would be playing behind closed doors then.

What gives you the right to determine who should/shouldn't be at a football match in England. You've never been to a game.

Bobby Moore, Bobby Moore, running from the Den
Bobby Moore, Bobby Moore, he has sex with men
Queer as they come
He takes it up the bum
Bobby Moore, Bobby Moore
IS NO MORE!!!

BYE BYE BOBBY!!!

Not at all. I just believe the knuckleheads that spew racist or homophobic chants, or mock the dead should be banned from attending football matches, regardless of what club they support.

Millwall played brighton on saturday - the home end would have been kicked out for calling them poofs for 90 minutes.

west ham would have most of their games behind closed doors as would most clubs with any atmosphere.

Football is supposed to be a working mans game not some PV love fest, you would have loved seeing Justin Fashanu play and hearing what was said to him.

I thought he was when playing for norwich.

EDIT: It was after norwich, because of the stuff with Clough meant it had to be later. Pretty sure he was playing when he came out though.

This is how it should be
5 minutes of abuse towards the Yorkshire police
then finish off with a song about the red shite

No love in, just support for the cause
The young boys said unto him....."go up baldhead, go up"......so he did, rose like a salmon and nodded the ball into the net......1 nil! :-)

Sorry, but my first reaction to this when I first saw it was that there's nothing to be proud of there, and my opinion hasn't changed. Hostile behaviour toward people that weren't involved and are just doing their jobs.

I haven't, but that kind of behaviour is nothing to be proud of.

Fair enough, if that's how it is. I'll have to take your word for it, but it doesn't look good from this perspective.

Thats my biggest issue with people following teams from outside their birth town.....
they can never ever understand the passion and bond you have for your club.

The Everton fans are attached to the Hillsborough tragedy due to their location
so they showed support for their fellow scousers, THAT is a bond
you can never fabricate.

GIAE is right...unless you have been an avid away fan like I was in the 80's
and boy where they wild days!
and he was in the 60's, (old cunt) you will never fully 'get it'.

South Yorkshire Police will have to put up with this for a long time.

Don't start that shit. You can have passion for your club without being a twat.

Yes, because that behaviour is being supportive and helping their friends and family.
