Adidas and Bolton Wanderers Strike Historic Deal
Bolton Wanderers Football Club can today announce that from the 2012/13 season, Wanderers’ kit will be supplied by adidas, the world’s leading football brand.
The choice of adidas, with their unsurpassed heritage in football, was one the club saw as beneficial to both players and supporters alike.
This brings to an end Reebok’s record 22-year partnership as the club’s technical kit sponsor, the longest kit partnership in UK football history.
Reebok’s partnership as stadium naming rights sponsor will continue, reflecting Reebok’s heritage as a Bolton-born brand.
Allan Duckworth, chief executive of Bolton Wanderers said: “I would like to thank Reebok for their outstanding support in their capacity as technical kit sponsor over the past 22 years. We are delighted to welcome adidas whose football performance credentials are second to none.
“The move is a logical one for all parties. Reebok’s focus on their heritage in fitness and the move away from football provided this opportunity for the Club to secure a new technical kit sponsor, and in adidas we have found the very best.”
Steve Holland, national sales manager of adidas commercial clubs said: “Everyone at adidas is delighted to partner with Bolton Wanderers and thus keep the club within the adidas group.
“We have been working hard with the club to put some fantastic plans in place that will ensure we engage and excite the fans over the next few months and years. We very much look forward to building as strong a partnership as the one that Reebok have enjoyed over many years.”
James Woolard, head of marketing at Reebok said: “We have been proud to provide the kit for Bolton for the last 22 years, but our focus on our fitness heritage means we need to concentrate on products in this category.
“We remain very proud of Reebok’s birth in Bolton, originally as Fosters Sports Shoes, a history which reflects our continued sponsorship of the Reebok Stadium. We look forward to maintaining our strong relationship with the club.”
This new long-term kit partnership will give adidas exclusive rights to provide all playing, training and replica kit.
The kit and trainingwear will be launched from June, with all kits featuring adidas performance fabrics ClimaCool and ClimaLite technology, a mixture of heat and moisture controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics which improve air flow to the skin and in key heat zones.
Further details with regards to specific launch dates and activations will be communicated nearer to the time.

Re: kits 2012/13
Sunderland AFC have announced a new kit deal with Adidas that will see the latter replace Umbro as kit makers at the Stadium of Light. The deal means that SAFC will have Adidas strips beginning the 2012/13 season for the first time in the club’s 133 year old history. Sunderland are the fifth current Premier League club to be outfitted by Adidas, joining Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion, Swansea City and Stoke City. Liverpool were on Adidas’ books, but left them to join Warrior Sports beginning the 2012/13 season.
Chelsea, Swansea and Stoke have already released part of their 2012/13 kits.
Sunderland’s new 2012-2013 away strip will be released on June 25 while the away top will be unveiled on July 18.

Re: kits 2012/13
like the black but not sure about the grey around the neck and sidesFollowing Warrior’s design direction of modern tradition - the new kit is inspired by Liverpool FC’s Away Kit from 1900-1906 which featured the yoke detail in recognition of sailors and the huge influence of the docks on the city at the time.
hopefully it will grow on me over time

The keeper shirt looks good, yeah it depends on how much the grey sticks out.
Re: kits 2012/13
Don't like the grey around the collar at all. Rest of it is good.
