Goals win games, a team can make as many mistakes as they want however if you dont score you cant win. Vista were outplayed by a stronger much more disciplined Fulham outfit. the first 30 minutes was a fairly even contest vista pressing on goal numerous times with their pace and movement...... as soon as Fulham worked this out they slowed the tempo of the game. they used their one on one ability and strength to take the game to modbury. The first goal (the penalty) came from no error just lack of discipline and urgency in the box, when the ball wasnt cleared a tackle HAD to be made and it was unfortunate that the player could not get a touch on the ball. The second was not so much a keeper error more a combination of defensive errors and lack of midfield movement putting the keeper under pressure and as soon as the ball was turned over Fulham had time to put 6 passes together and steady and have a crack from 20 yards (great finish by the way). late in the second half vista pushed and pressured and managed to claw one back through a goalmouth scramble. however again a lack of discipline and a lack of maturity saw modbury lose there composure on the ball and all and any chances were floundered on their own accord. as for the offside late in the game....... yes pc you were on however it would not have changed anything as the keeper came off his line to gather the ball while you were at full pace...... i think that today we saw a different mindset from the team we have seen in two previous weeks, if the same team from the Inter game or the Fulham game had rocked up vista would be 3 points richer. Instead the club needs to re-think and jump back on the training track and get three more points.pc wrote:Vista Vs Fulham 1-2.........a lot has been said in regards to Vista and how it is shouldn't be where it is currently sitting, however true that may be it still means that we are near the bottom of the league. It isn't cocky or predjudice to say that Vista is yet to be outplayed cos i know that will cause a massive uproar but every game we have been in the game until the whistle has blown which is a massive credit to this years coaching staff. Fulhams experience and coolness under pressure won them the game today, a soft penalty taken well and another goal from a mistake shortly after put Fulham ahead 2-0 half time. Vista put won past mid way through and kept pushing but some small basic touches let us down. Not going to blame the linesman, i thought he did a great job......that is the offical linesman who lined only our defence for both halves, the other guy was shite and blatant decisions cost opportunities, not goals but defenient opportunities.........is there a ruling if only 1 official linesman is present that they should take a half on each teams forward line? If someone can answer that for me that would be great
