there are players like ingahni (spelling?) everywhere in every league, torres is a good example in the EPL.

and i can garantee you the EPL has a brand new twist to it every game. its not always the same old stuff.

Italy is like that too, twists everyweek, but some borin games, happens everywhere. thats football!

The violence didn't have anything to do with it, Italian football is still entertaining with more goals and blame Stefano Palazzi for the match fixing scandal, damn Inter president. But the Italians are yet still successful by winning the World Cup and Milan winning the Champions League this has restored more back into Italian football and if we keep winning major events like this then Italian football will restore it's popularity back in all parts of the world.

I hate the argument about the EPL being so much more exciting than Serie A... it is exciting, don't get me wrong and I'm a Chelsea fan and also watch many other EPL games but Serie A will shock most of you if you decide to flick it on and catch a game...

Most weeks Inter are shown therefore I'm always watching SerieA - the amount of brilliant goals which are scored week in week out is unbelievable... each week during coverage when they flick to the goals scored around the country there are technically brilliant goals as well as rippers coming from around the league...

For the record im a fan of both leagues and IMO they both have individual strengths and weaknesses and there isn't much between them...

I seemed to have noticed on here that many of the opposers who seem to comment on Italian football/Serie A actually hate it - therefore I'm guessing you guys don't watch it? So you're comments may well be uneducated and ill-informed....

Whilst many of the people on here who are supporting SerieA have half decent knowledge of the EPL due to it's prolific coverage here, i'm interested to know how many of the EPL supporters on here regularly watch Serie A? Therefore allowing them to make educated comments about the league and not simply about the odd national team game they see Italy play every 2-3 years...

Italian football is coming back, and it still hasn't faded yet and never will. It was good for the league that the Italians won the world cup. But who has been more successful in Europe for over 20 years thats right Milan. Serie A is going to kill EPL especially with all the new and upcoming players that are bursting through. like Lulinha to Fiorentina, Breno to Fiorentina, Pato to Milan, Dessena cleaning up at Parma, Chiellini playing quality football. The violence happened because the Ultras in different parts of Italy hate each other you dumb jackass, they don't hate each other for the sport they hate each other for the passion.

can't really compare Italy with the other leagues when you say 3 of the teams in the semi's where English. Juventus won the serie a the year before but didnt compete and Fiorentina had qualified for CL until the match fixing scandal. That an Italian team won the CL last season is a testiment to just how strong the serie a is.

that bolded comment there aint exactly true mate, EPL will be always be media dominated over serie A. i kno u mean in terms of skill, but with all the money and popularity being pumped into EPL its only a matter of years until EPL is the standout for all wanting young players.

The tv coverage here in malaysia did airing seria a week in and week out .. im not going to say i watch it regulary, but i will watch it when i place my bet on the team .. but no way it's as intresting as epl game .. it's get me bored ..

As part of the commonwealth you have links to England than Italy. I'm sure all of the countries that are part of the Italian Empire show Seria A games and not the premier league.

Ask any asian who the best player in the world is and chances are they'll say either Beckham, Rooney or Cristiano. They dont know what good football is, they only believe what nike or adidas tell them.

I think you'll find that the top Serie B sides could realistically compete in A and have every chance of survival whereas you see that Watford and Derby were up shit creek without a paddle upon their arrival in the EPL.
