So your first team had a bye,
Irrelevant which players took the field, it was your first team that lost 4-1.

ma hawks won the wingeing though
guess they dont believe in having a beer with the opposition after the game.
Which player were you???

We waited for you at the Lockleys but nobody showed up!
we have our own clubrooms and bar, plus the henely is our sponsor. why would we waste money at the lockleys. you guys couldnt leave quick enough. poor form. dont see what difference knowing what player i am will make either
tongue in cheek comments, not surprised you can't handle them... I left promptly to nurse my stuffed ankle
i guess you had to take the whole team with you to ice your ankle. how could you not be im pressed by our side. if our forwards finished properly it would have been double figures. we always stop for a beer at the opposition club, no matter what the result
Sorry to say but you truly need a life if beer is all you have to offer me, What no Beam?

I was 'in' your club rooms last year, grabbed a mini pizza and ended up sick.... go figure

But yeah I agree, poor form. But the question is do I give a f***?

Answer NO.

Nor do I give a F**** about your club.....

Simple, I just don't give a f***

and what exactly has my 'moderator' status on this site have to do with where I play?? If ignorance were a disability, you'd get the full pension.

a sat div 2 b squad (iggies) defeated a sunday div 1 team.... (florina)

yes was a shock florina went up two nil early, two came off injured and let them in the game .2-2 into extra time and iggies went up 3-2 with 4 minutes left florina scored for 3-3 which should of gone to penalties.
for a last minute goal to be scored..florina didn't seem interested, flat and
didn't come to play soccer..by far the worst we have ever played..
while we did come to win we didn't fill the same side we played with on the sunday that beat USC Lion 4-0..

Why would Pontian do this. With the players they have, they should be fielding their best team for the cup. They could of won it. Resting a few players who are sore is fair enough but did they actually not play a single first team player. I think there were a few B team players that played against us in the B's.

I think it was a good match. From the start, Iggies dominated the game, we should of been 1 up in the first 5mins, but our stiker missed an open header. Then Florina scored from a defensive error. After that, We earnt a free kick outside the box, a great low cross was made and once again our striker missed what was an easy tap in.
Iggies had more speed, better fitness and dominated the game, however we could not beat the Florina defense due to them playing so far up....
Florina Goalie played well clearing the ball numerous times outside the box after through balls beat the Florina Defence. Also a mention of a doubious linesman kept the score 2-2 at 90mins.

Pontians may not be in Adelaide when the cup final has been scheduled to play, not saying that we would of made it but when you know your not going to watch the last 10 minutes of a movie do you really start watching it at all? The coach decided to play a majority of Bs regulars and thats that. The club is really trying to get promoted to Div 1 which they have never done before and if that means they miss out on a cup run well so be it. My personal option would of been to ask players if they wanted to play or not. As someone already has eluded to they have an older squad and it does take longer to recover. Would you have prefered the Pontians to forfeit?

They should have all played GE...might have made it a more even match with an unfit Croatia this weekend!

Not sure you'll have to worry about Soda either - my mail is his contribution this year will consist of several guest apperances off the bench at best. :(

Cmon Hosovac dont be so modest, you had a win last week and I know Soda has already opened his account for the season. Lets hope that the rain stays away so we can play on that fantastic pitch of yours. After playing on ours, your is like carpet.

all 4 of your goals were due to our defensive mistakes. free kick keeper didn't even dive as well as two headers he didn't dive for espically the last one.don't say the keeper had a good game cause for him that was a shocker of day. on any given sunday we would have run riot with our sunday team.
you can complain about the linesman but the referee was quite obviously leaning towards you guys and where we lost the game was our lack of desire to win on the day and arguing between ourselves.
look we should of won but didn't but don't go blowing your own trumpet because you caught us on a bad day we have scored 137 goals in the last two years sun div 2 and sun div 1 , so you got off lightly you are lucky we only put three past you considering on a bad day we scored three goals and could of scored eight, i mean two guys came off injured who have been scoring our goals and our magician in soma for three weeks as well as some c graders playing.
well done but don't see you guys going much further.you had a few good players but we are disappointed we didn't switch on and murder your defence as they are your weakness..
look you where a good bunch of blokes and enjoyed the game with you and good luck in the rest of the comp..now we can concentrate 100% on the div 1 title now..

must say was very surprised with this result as have heard Florina are a really strong side, of course cup games and not to mention mid-week cup games cannot always be a true reflection of a club's form considering a) concentration on league more than cup b)player availability c)coaches "trying things out" and moving players between squads

although in saying the iggies defence is a weakness..this is good to know for all the other teams in sat div 2!
"Steven Gerrard sets himseeeeeeelf...oh what a goal, what a goal, what a goal by Stevie Gerrard, its 3-3..."

Yes I would of in the B's. Then i could of watched Centrals thump the Eagles. What was the point in sending out a team that wasn't your second best against us. Many of the reserves players were disappointed because we were looking forward to a big game.
