One game a week. Other ways to watch it than have foxtel.Juventino wrote:Isn't League One still on BeIN?God is an Englishman wrote:because it doesn't show many live games in the league that I want to watchJuventino wrote:Why get rid of Fox when there's so much quality content this season (and thanks to adding more BeIN channels, more live games)?

Not a problem, watched 3 live games without a problem - bar the result this morning! Great having different pundits prior to the game/s, far better than Robbie and BozzaBrian the Postman wrote:Was the transmission of the games ok?
There has been a bit in the media about it being pretty bad.

All the BeIN channels are on Optus anyway so there's a fair bit of duplication. Depends on what you want to watch I guess. I want EPL and CL and you want Serie A.Juventino wrote:Why get rid of Fox when there's so much quality content this season (and thanks to adding more BeIN channels, more live games)?

Another hidden gem with Optus EPL , if you are not using OPTUS Internet for Fetch TV , watch out for down load usage. The HD Fetch gobbles up data pretty fast.

Hidden? Did you think HD downloads wouldn't use data?ozzie owl wrote:Another hidden gem with Optus EPL , if you are not using OPTUS Internet for Fetch TV , watch out for down load usage. The HD Fetch gobbles up data pretty fast.

According to OPTUS it was 8gb-10 gb per game looks lot more than that.God is an Englishman wrote:Hidden? I thought everyone had unlimited internet these days. You need to get with the times, this isn't Sheffield in the 60s you know.ozzie owl wrote:Another hidden gem with Optus EPL , if you are not using OPTUS Internet for Fetch TV , watch out for down load usage. I also want to see CL and EL and so the addition BeIN channels are great and will allow for a variety of teams to be shown next season (read: not just English teams).Nice One Cyril wrote:All the BeIN channels are on Optus anyway so there's a fair bit of duplication. I just hope this deal will stop Australia's 'Premier League or nothing' mentality which has come to pass over recent years. Would be good for people to recognise there are other leagues out there.
I did download the Optus app last week to watch West Ham v Juventus, as I get it for free, but I don't think I'll get much use out of it until the World Cup. Maybe just to see how the Italian coaches are going.

The highlights on nine news tonight showed the optus watermark. The picture was awful and jerky. Is that what it's like for those watching it on optus?

Re: Optus EPL Deal Details Emerge
It depends on the bandwidth available. For those on NBN it's pretty seamless HD quality much the same as Fox, but if you're on an ADSL2 feed and your internet speed drops, Optus automatically reduces the resolution and keeps playing, rather than freeze. I had to peer at the screen at times to see what was going on.Abenomics wrote:The highlights on nine news tonight showed the optus watermark. The picture was awful and jerky. Overall, it's better that you can watch replays and highlights on demand, but the picture quality is generally not as good as Foxtel.

I noticed that there was a game on SBS this evening. Is there a game broadcast on SBS every week?

Yes, 1 game a week. Perfect for those of us who love football but don't support an EPL team. The Bluehearts wrote:I noticed that there was a game on SBS this evening. Is there a game broadcast on SBS every week?

Re: Optus EPL Deal Details Emerge
Just received sms from Optus that Premier League jumps to $15pm (after free for first season) plus $5pm for the crappy fetch box mini , time to scrap it and hope Foxtel get it back.
