Just like De Gea this year for United. Good keepers keep their sides in gamesNicky Tanner wrote:More how good COurtois was, did you watch the game?ozzie owl wrote:19 shots to 2 against Chelsea and still draw, shows how much they are missing SAS.

Absolutely agree haywood - strikers win you games but defences win you leagues - I always liked that sayinghaywood djablowme wrote:Just like De Gea this year for United. Well it's certainly true that Liverpool's defence cost them the league last year.Nicky Tanner wrote:Chelsea being an exception last year, of course.

Re: Liverpool
It's nearly impossible to concede that many goals and win the league as Liverpool proved last year. The fact that Suarez and Sturridge scored so many goals concealed the fact that the defence leaked so many.

Re: Liverpool
it didn't conceal anything. Liverpool won game after game for a while, while letting goals in. We were very close to winning the league with that style. It was a joy to watch.Old Redback wrote:It's nearly impossible to concede that many goals and win the league as Liverpool proved last year. Chelsea had the best deference out of the top few places but were deservedly third. You know third, below the team with a rubbish defence!
As i said what you put is bollocks - no matter how you think it's true...it's not.

Re: Liverpool
I should have known better than to try and get a Liverpool fan to listen to a different view - far more comfortable for them to stick to their one eyed blinkered opinions. Perhaps their failure to listen to different viewpoints and dogmatic approach is a cause of their ongoing disappointments in the league?

Why is he funny to you?N5 1BH wrote:I enjoy watching Sakho play, he's funny
Is it confusing to you to see an athletic and strong ball playing defender that doesn't hit the deck holding his face if someone looks at him the wrong way?

Aaargh! Spurs determined to shoot themselves in the foot, giving the ball away and making stupid tackles, but a good game for the neutral.
In what I thought was a pretty clean game, Dowd was disappointingly card happy.

Re: Liverpool
Good game (for the neutral). Thought a draw was a fair result but with all the late winners we had been getting this season we were due to give one away. Dowd was very average, for both sides.

Or someone getting his feet mixed up, giving the ball away then rugby tackling a player from behind?Black_Panther wrote:Why is he funny to you?N5 1BH wrote:I enjoy watching Sakho play, he's funny

Re: Liverpool
Great goal but - although all he had to do was the finishing touch.
Ibe and Lallana worked it well on the wing, good cross and good positioning from Mario.

Rose lucky to escape card in the 1st half. Rose also should have got 2nd yellow = red against Arsenal last weekend.Nice One Cyril wrote:Aaargh! Spurs determined to shoot themselves in the foot, giving the ball away and making stupid tackles, but a good game for the neutral.

Ibe is a great talent. IMO will be better than sterling. Has the power and a better shot on him.
