I was at the match and it goes a little something like this - BH didn't supply a linesman in the A's (which is a requirement), and asked the Reserves Ref to do the line, to which he agreed. We already had our linesman for the A Grade. The Reserves ref lives in Pirie, but has no affiliation to the club whatsoever (before people claim bias), he just moved here from Queensland. Any way we were 1 - 1 and the linesman called the referee over after the Ref had paid the advantage. The Ref wasn't aware that the foul was in the box, when the original foul was committed, so he called a penalty, and BH went wild, because they were 1 - 0 up and were now behind, and ironically blamed the officials. At the halftime break, one of the BH players took the flag from the linesman (the one they asked) and refused to give it back to him and the BH coach threatened to kill both linesman, not joking unfortunately I heard him myself!!!. That was half time but I think this rattled the ref, from that point on the tackling got worse, and the ref didn't book anyone, or send anyone off, and it basically snowballed from there. A fight started on the field between two players who again went in for a 50/50 tackle, and then from nowhere a 14 year old kid ran onto the field to get involved, ran into the two players and hit the ground (which looked quite funny from the sidelines), only to be hit himself!! To say that he punched a player is a bit rich! Regardless his actions have been condemned by all and sundry, and is unacceptable. In defence of the marshalls, the kid sprinted from the sidelines, and they got to him as soon as they could, before he got hammered!! So there were players, officials, coaches all on the field. The persons on the field weren't fighting, but rather trying to get this kid off of the ground, and away from the two players who did have a go at each other. The Referee was inside the changerooms at this point. It could have been a whole lot worse but Savoy called the police at half time after the player took the flag from the linesman, and wouldn't give it back. The referee left the field while it was all going on, and I think if he had booked a few players when required, none of it would have happened. I know it is a bit of a stretch, but I think that BH would have been happy that it was called off at 2 - 2, because they were going to lose that game from where I stood Savoy were coming home with a wet sail. I think the ref is going to lodge a report and so he should. The guy who was doing the line has now quit and he will no longer referee or do the line in Pirie, which is the saddest part of the day. I know it is easy from the sidelines, and the ref's do the best they can, but I would have sent 2 or possibly 3 players off and also booked probably another 2, I think some earlier intervention could have avoided the entire situation, but hind sight is 20/20 isn't it.TM87 wrote:a1079978 wrote:What happened in the pirie vs bosna game? abandoned? what happens now with point etc.[/quo
It was about 3 - 2 minutes left in the game. Bosna player had a throw in and a spectator from Savoy attacked and punched our player. Ref stopped the game and police were informed. It will be interesting to see what the SAASL will do about it.
What i find interesting is that no-one from BH has said anything about this game - they have 2 or 3 regular contributors to this forum - perhaps mummy or daddy or club have banned them from talking this week49ers wrote:I was at the match and it goes a little something like this - BH didn't supply a linesman in the A's (which is a requirement), and asked the Reserves Ref to do the line, to which he agreed. Oh please, you can have your opinion on the game but do not suggest that we were in any way inhospitable. We were waiting at the clubrooms with enough food to feed an army, and we did not even get a phone call to say that BH United would not be attending, "normal people" would turn up to an after match function, or at least have the decency to let the club know that you would not be attending. Any club from Div 3 could not complain about the hospitality from a Pirie trip. Racism? I did not hear one racist comment from either your members or ours, not sure where this came from? We do not accept racism in any form at our club. If it was an issue, you should have reported this to the referee, or the marshals, and we would have evicted the perpetrator. Finally, when you get rolled 4 - 0 you generally can't say much to the other side, nor can you blame officials, the score pretty well says it all. If the league is serious, you may get your wish and you may never play again. I hear that BH were kicked out of Div 2 last year as well is that correct?Zajko84 wrote:There is nothing to write about the game in Pirie.... They the one should be finned cos of spectator running in the pitch and attacking our player. They had marshals on sidelines which they were easy 150kg,so how they gona catch 16 year old kid?but anyway saasl will have final word about this game. And something about penalty,it was handball which was out of the box.And ref should not give advantage and 3 min later give a penalty. That was just funny, and i couldnt believe that he did that. Thanks for hospitality,or maybe thanks for very nice words from your supporters behind goals. Racism is worst.... In first game played on our ground you guys won 4-0,and non of our supporter didn't say a word,or assault someone from your club. After game we had dinner all together like normal people, but after this sunday hope we never gona play again.
So in your own words, EVERY supporter said something! nice of you to be honestZajko84 wrote:and non of our supporter didn't say a word
