It was about 3 - 2 minutes left in the game. Bosna player had a throw in and a spectator from Savoy attacked and punched our player. Ref stopped the game and police were informed. It will be interesting to see what the SAASL will do about it.
I was at the match and it goes a little something like this - BH didn't supply a linesman in the A's (which is a requirement), and asked the Reserves Ref to do the line, to which he agreed. We already had our linesman for the A Grade. The Reserves ref lives in Pirie, but has no affiliation to the club whatsoever (before people claim bias), he just moved here from Queensland. Any way we were 1 - 1 and the linesman called the referee over after the Ref had paid the advantage. The Ref wasn't aware that the foul was in the box, when the original foul was committed, so he called a penalty, and BH went wild, because they were 1 - 0 up and were now behind, and ironically blamed the officials. At the halftime break, one of the BH players took the flag from the linesman (the one they asked) and refused to give it back to him and the BH coach threatened to kill both linesman, not joking unfortunately I heard him myself!!!. That was half time but I think this rattled the ref, from that point on the tackling got worse, and the ref didn't book anyone, or send anyone off, and it basically snowballed from there. A fight started on the field between two players who again went in for a 50/50 tackle, and then from nowhere a 14 year old kid ran onto the field to get involved, ran into the two players and hit the ground (which looked quite funny from the sidelines), only to be hit himself!! To say that he punched a player is a bit rich! Regardless his actions have been condemned by all and sundry, and is unacceptable. In defence of the marshalls, the kid sprinted from the sidelines, and they got to him as soon as they could, before he got hammered!! So there were players, officials, coaches all on the field. The persons on the field weren't fighting, but rather trying to get this kid off of the ground, and away from the two players who did have a go at each other. The Referee was inside the changerooms at this point. It could have been a whole lot worse but Savoy called the police at half time after the player took the flag from the linesman, and wouldn't give it back. The referee left the field while it was all going on, and I think if he had booked a few players when required, none of it would have happened. I know it is a bit of a stretch, but I think that BH would have been happy that it was called off at 2 - 2, because they were going to lose that game from where I stood Savoy were coming home with a wet sail. I think the ref is going to lodge a report and so he should. The guy who was doing the line has now quit and he will no longer referee or do the line in Pirie, which is the saddest part of the day. I know it is easy from the sidelines, and the ref's do the best they can, but I would have sent 2 or possibly 3 players off and also booked probably another 2, I think some earlier intervention could have avoided the entire situation, but hind sight is 20/20 isn't it.

What i find interesting is that no-one from BH has said anything about this game - they have 2 or 3 regular contributors to this forum - perhaps mummy or daddy or club have banned them from talking this week

There is nothing to write about the game in Pirie.... They the one should be finned cos of spectator running in the pitch and attacking our player. They had marshals on sidelines which they were easy 150kg,so how they gona catch 16 year old kid?but anyway saasl will have final word about this game. And something about penalty,it was handball which was out of the box.And ref should not give advantage and 3 min later give a penalty. That was just funny, and i couldnt believe that he did that. Thanks for hospitality,or maybe thanks for very nice words from your supporters behind goals. Racism is worst.... In first game played on our ground you guys won 4-0,and non of our supporter didn't say a word,or assault someone from your club. After game we had dinner all together like normal people, but after this sunday hope we never gona play again.

Oh please, you can have your opinion on the game but do not suggest that we were in any way inhospitable. We were waiting at the clubrooms with enough food to feed an army, and we did not even get a phone call to say that BH United would not be attending, "normal people" would turn up to an after match function, or at least have the decency to let the club know that you would not be attending. Any club from Div 3 could not complain about the hospitality from a Pirie trip. Racism? I did not hear one racist comment from either your members or ours, not sure where this came from? We do not accept racism in any form at our club. If it was an issue, you should have reported this to the referee, or the marshals, and we would have evicted the perpetrator. Finally, when you get rolled 4 - 0 you generally can't say much to the other side, nor can you blame officials, the score pretty well says it all. If the league is serious, you may get your wish and you may never play again. I hear that BH were kicked out of Div 2 last year as well is that correct?

Ofcourse that you didnt hear anythyng what those "supporters" behing the goals were saying. We told to referee already. Yes we got kicked out of div 2 for simmilar reason what your supporter did,so hopefully saasl will do something. And as far i know we said to one of your guys that we r not coming to your club rooms cos it was a bit late and after what happened none of our players wanted to go there.

sick and tired of people using the racism card on here if you heard something call the police immediately rather than come on here and play the blame game

What am i suppose to do? I was on the pitch playing, get out of the pitch and ring police.... Common.... I know our supporters not best, just like all others, but that day no one didntsay bad word to savoy players, they beat us and they were better team. I hate racism too, didnt want to bring it here but they trying to blame us that refere called game of early, saying first one of our players said something to linesman, than on half time they said coatch and than on end of the game they come up that supporters said something..... And there was 4 our supporters in pirie..... There supporters r the one to be blamed... But anyways saasl with have final word just like i said before.....

Yea we got kicked out due to one of our supporters coming onto the pitch something similar to the kid that came on the pitch on sunday :clown: should get punished for that, doesnt matter what is happening on the pitch supporters should always stay well clear from the action.

On the game... Since when can a linesman call a foul in the Amateur Leagues??? the ref usually tells both linesman just call the line and throw ins and leave the rest to me... that was a bizaar decision and understandably the BH United players were frustrated after such a shocking decision which wasnt even made by the ref, cost the team instead of going to half time 1-0 up with literally the last kick of the half (the non existant penalty which only the expert linesman saw) pirie equalised..

you say you watched the game but what game you were actually watching god only knows because after the penalty was scored it was 1-1 and not 2-1 to pirie :clown:

the 2-1 score came in the second half from open play and we didnt say much but played the game and got the result back to 2-2.. in the last couple minutes of the match there was a 50/50 challenge and the port pirie centre back that was twice the size of our midfielder attempted to have a go at him.. our player had a go back and it was on between the two of them, the rest of the players (both teams) jumped in which were mostly trying to break it up but then a supporter came onto the pitch which crosses the line.. there was no need for that. Ref probably stopped the game because it was invaded by a bunch of :clown: had they not done that we could have played out the last few minutes and how you come up with the conclusion that you saw port pirie winning the game i have no clue, as we scored the last goal of the game and had the momentum...

good luck to ya.

Sunday week BH against San Marco will most likely sort out who goes to div 2.
San Marco have the easier run in, including this week against a suspension depleted Macedonia.
From what i've seen SM and Angle Vale (who are still in there for promo) are better teams than BH who rely on 2 or 3 top players to carry the team
