marquinhos to PSG 35 Million Euro!!!!!!! he's 19!!!!!!!!!!!
Is Marquinhos worth it? Honestly didn't see much of him last year so am after some opinions.

Zuniga to Juve keeps on resurfacing. I can see him signing for us, particularly if Isla and Giaccherini both leave. Also, Caceres is more of a CB then a wing back so I think we might be a bit short in those areas. Zuniga would be okay for the right price IMO.
marquinhos will be one of the greatest defenders of his generation. not a bad profit of 31mil for roma. watched him all season. best player for roma all season.

So now the obvious question - who to get to replace Cavani?

Felipe Melo sold to Galatasaray for 5m and Giaccherini to Sunderland is official for 7.5m.

Some handy cash there, but I think Sunderland have got themselves a real bargain in Giaccherini. We paid about the same amount for him when he was a relative unknown, and now he has gone for the same price as a 2 time title winner and regular Italian international player. Not sure how that works...

I am very very very surprised that no one has looked at Hamsik during this transfer window

Surely he is worth around the 25-30m mark?

If not more?

Where have you been? he has made it quite clear he wants to go nowhere - time for Cannavaro to hand the armband over I think.

Rafa trying to reunited the gang.
Reina still a very good keeper who lost his way, bargain if it goes through at that price.

Jovetic only an announcement away from joining Man City. Was never going to be afforded by anyone in Serie A unless it was Juve, so no surprise to see him make the move to the EPL.

Reina on a year loan to Napoli.
I think he'd suit Serie A very well. His weakness was teams like Stoke lumping balls on his head and having 6ft6 blokes jump into him.

Good deal for Napoli, no transfer fee. Wouldn't be surprised if he performed well he'd go to Barca next season.

I am very happy with this. We get a season out of him and then next season Rafael becomes number 1.

We need to close these deals for strikers.

De Laurentiis erred when he started crapping on about how much transfer money we have - all of a sudden Higuain's price goes from 28 million to 40???

Reports that Napoli are wrapping up a 40m Euro deal for Higuain.

If that is the case, I'm glad that Juve opted for Tevez. Higuain is a great player, not doubting that, but is he worth 4x more the transfer fee of Tevez? No way.

Still, this is gonna be the tightest Serie A season in years. I don't think Juve are that far ahead of the pack as people might think. If only we had some decent coverage to watch games :?

35 plus bonuses (This from Di Marzio who is more or less on the mark all the time) - careful with these figures there was a report of 12 million for Albiol, club reports 8 plus bonuses.

There is now talk of a loan for Alexis Sanchez, but I would doubt this given that we have Insigne, Mertens and Callejon for wide positions.

Still disappointed that we didnt get Strootman, we need one more strong CM and CB.

Just stream the coverage, thats what I will be doing. If you have a smart TV the picture quality is still better than RAI anyway.

I'm officially on the Napoli bandwagon for this season!
9/1 was worth a hundy.

How can they be longer odds than Milan (5/1) who haven't signed anyone and correct me if I'm wrong, haven't even got a president in place?

Higuan, Reina, Albiol, Callejon, Mertens are good signings. Coached by a big fat bloke who was ridiculed in England for being too tactical, reckon he'll thrive in Serie A this time round.

Having said that, still think Juve will take it out but might closer...

Napoli have now handed over just about all of Cavani's transfer fee to Real for Higuain, Callejon and Albiol.

I think the Milan clubs could be in danger of missing out on the CL places altogether if they don't spring some surprises in the remainder of the mercato.

Reports now that Isla will stay at Juve and Quagliarella will be on his way out. Hopefully Marotta is working hard to move on blokes like Motta, Martinez, Ziegler, etc as well.

Can't wait for this season. Will be a cracker.
So much talk about the Serie A not being able to attacked quality.
Juve, Napoli, Roma and Fiorentina have recruited very well.
Very possible the top 4 could be the before mentioned.

Most anticipated season in many years

Napoli fans havd every reason to be excited about the coming season as they have used their money wisely.

Wenger last June: "There is no reason why a top player, a big champion would want a move to Serie A, in terms of the prestige of the league, the level of play or financial considerations." This year, gets beaten to Higuain by Napoli.

Verratti still being linked with a move back to Serie A. Juve, Fiorentina and Napoli all interested. Can't see it happening, but with Ancelotti leaving PSG there is more of a chance than before I think. Not sure where he would fit into the Juve midfield this season, but would be nice to have him as an eventual replacement for Pirlo and mainly to keep him off the books off of our rivals. Gun player.

His agent is angling for a pay rise, so probably just using other club's supposed interest to get as much money as possible at PSG.

I am so desperately hoping that this is not just smoke and mirrors for Verratti and we can land this bloke, we have an excellent relationship with PSG obviously with Lavezzi and Cavani going there over 2 years.

The most impressive thing from my point of view about our transfers is that it is giving us the necessary depth for a tilt at something important. Depth is what has given Conte the ability to make Juve so dominant.

2 years ago we signed Chavez (One of Lavezzi's mates!! played 9 mins in a friendly) and Ignacio Fideleff (Honestly what a rubbish player), now we bagged Mertens and Callejon, as well as the obvious others in Albiol and Gonzalo. I think ADL has been waiting till such a time that he could bankroll something like this and he actually now has the money to do it - people forget how well the club is managed financially and all of this is done without the massive sponsors bigger clubs have, or the fact we do not have a stadium of our own. Napoli have posted profit for 6 years in a row.

When the stadium does get off the ground we will be in a very very good position to challenge yearly.

What have Juve fans made of our pre season?

Two draws (losses on penalties but that means little) and one loss in America and no real great football played. Watched 75 or so minutes of the Galaxy game and we looked terrible. I know pre season doesn't count for much but you'd rather be in good form heading into the Super Coppa rather than poor form.

I think Asamoah sometimes seems so isolated out on that wing. He would be much better in the middle, but we already have so many options in there and hardly any on the left. Think that's why Conte went after Zuniga so hard.

Ogbonna looks like he's gonna be a beast from what I've seen.

Conte: "When Agnelli asks me to win the International Champions Cup I'll change my plan. Until then, I'll think about the League, Champions League & Coppa Italia."

Preparation is geared towards the main competitions, not some pissy pre-season thing nobody cares about. I'm not worried.

The last time we played in a US pre season comp we were terrible.
We then went undefeated. Lets talk in May and see where we are at.
Pre season results mean very little regarding form in the season proper.
