agreed. Raptors own ref did our game when the SAASL ref didnt turn up and he did a brilliant job, no favouritism at all.

There was one of the most blatant penalty decisions I have ever seen turned down, running into goal, and brought down from behind which would have made it 3 - 0 to Savoy, and you would think a safe result. A young lad was sent off who did not say a word, just for being in the general vicinity of a vocal crowd - the kid is the quietest at the soccer club - I don't think he has ever had a yellow card!!!!!!! An off side goal was over ruled by the ref. The linesman had his flag up for about a minute he could not believe that the ref had allowed it. The Polonia goalkeeper got crunched in a body clash (hope he is ok) and was getting treatment for at least 5 minutes during the second half......which ended up running 42 minutes. Savoy had 2 players sent off, 2 penalties denied, an offside goal allowed and a short second half. Seriously one of the worst performances I have seen. Again take nothing away from Polonia, they certainly deserved to get something from the match, but there were comments made by neutral observers which made me think it wasn't just me?
Mate, I'm bloody sore today! Hahaha Whoever got the knee in the back did a good job!

Must admit, the referee was awful. Obviously, very happy with the win but I have to say that no wonder games sometimes get out of hand. We had the same referee against Seaford at the beginning of the season and one of our players was handed a red for a tackle which would have been yellow at best - as for the rest of the game, his decisions were terrible.

Without being biased, the first tackle (or "penalty") in my eyes wasn't there - 50/50 at best. Having said that though, I was having a chat to a few of your Ressies players behind the goal and agreed that you were unlucky not to have been awarded the second. Unfortunately for your lads by that stage, I think he had brandished the two reds and clearly felt a certain way which referees shouldn't allow (emotions getting in the way).

From all of the lads from Polonia, thanks for the hospitality and the spread after the game. I'm sure I'll get stuck into that carton through the week ;)

IIRC it was his 2nd yellow after a reckless first tackle. I must admit though Ive seen some baffling refereeing decisions this year as I have some linesman decisions. I guess it comes down to consitancy. I can handle a bad ref as long as its both ways and not blatant favouritism.
Ahh rightio! Mustn't have seen the first yellow then! I do live a fair way from the action haha Totally agree with consistency - can see a bit of a pattern emerging with regards to club refs when they step up... Seems they do a better job than the guys getting paid!

Just wanted to add the official ref was paid before the game and made no offer to plymptons ref that allowed the game to go on. Our ref didnt really mind it was done in the spirit of the game though.
