Fulham have a lot of quality on the park by the looks of it. A case of players not training?

Fulham have the quality, and we are starting to get some cohesion, unfortunately we were outplayed by a well organized farm side. Quality team, no excuses simple as that.

Just a bad day for Fulham was all. They tried to play football and looked dangerous at times but our defence held strong. Our fowards and midfielders worked hard which allowed us to create a lot of chances and this week we took some of them. Wouldn't write Fulham off based on that game.

Just 1 of those days unfortunately - Inter got done 6-0 against Downs and since then have shown they r better than that.

Like I said previously you can have a bad day but 2 weeks in a row is not excuseable so expect a big response this week from the boys against Pontians.

It's not like Farm are a bunch of hacks - they r a very well drilled side and it has showed.

If they didn't have the slow start to the season would be right up there behind Downs closer than they are now - think from memory they are undefeated for the last 7 gmaes (including cup) - not a bad run of form.

what was the reason for the sub at half-time bigpond? The big man upfront looked like your most dangerous player and most good bits of forward play went through him.

ps, I'm sure you are glad to have him back after he did a bit of preseason elsewhere.

HailHail I know we spoke during the week about last week ... Jack- it is still a credit that they still put a team out ... most of their players played 2 games and the funniest moment was when one of their players got sent off for disputing a decision .. while the score was 19-0 the ref gave Stingrays a goal kick and the Stingrays player told the ref that he kicked the ball out and should be a Noarlunga corner .. the ref gave him a yellow in which was his 2nd yellow..lol... we pleaded with the ref to keep him on and recind the yellow which fell to deaf ears.....

Spiro I wish you all the best at Stingrays ... dont give up you have some good lads there....

plus the 4 lads you nutmegged during the game ...lol .. they will enjoy training Wednesday night

Went to Downs V Grove yesterday... Downs too strong for Grove. Grove battled hard but got no-where. I think they were probably lucky to string 5 or 6 passes together in a row yesterday. Down to 10 men early on and never really had a chance. Downs looked good without getting out of first gear, not a good sign for the rest of the league as when they do they will be hard to stop.

dont get involved in coaches decisions - sure there was a reason behind it.

If he had put that 1 on 1 chance away just before half time maybe it might have changed the sub but I dont know.

Of course we are happy to have him back at the club - due to where he was living was why he thought twice about coming back but in the end he made his choice and that is a bonus for us.

Had to. Buckle at Inter's Keeper who was bagging his forwards for not converting, when it was his mistake calling "keepers ball" to come flapping in the breeze and the Vale scoring :clown: :clown:
Cheers for the support, i just didnt get enough of the ball in the 2nd half....maybe my teammates dont like me :D
And the keeper wasn't flapping, he was just outclassed by a brilliant cross :) hehe Anyway it felt like 2 points lost rather than a point gained for us at the Vale. We need to start converting chances and play for the full 90.
At the end of it all there will still be Football !!

Yeah a cold wet day, but always good to catch up with a few old mates, happened to walk past the grove team at half time they didnt even go into the change rooms and they were shattered, they looked a beaten team not one of them were speaking and the coach was not saying a thing they just stood there staring at each other   One of our supporters piped up with " hey grove coach dont you think its the wrong time to be organising a minutes silence" Havent seen this in my travels and even when sides I played in were getting the crap played out of them someone always tried to rev the boys along, it just seemed a bit too weird. Some quality goals scored yesterday, agars (chelsea biff ) had a good day out and I thought young brennan had a good game, not sure if benny had to make a save, hard team to pick this week with a few not having a run yesterday. Highlight of the day bayna going bang up straight on his dot getting his lads ball off the pitch.....
Bring on next week going to be a cracking game between two cracking sides, both sides hate even getting a draw against each other so if you aint doing naff all sunday get along and watch Div 1 sunday in all its glory. Not a bad day out for the boys today.

Should have really stiched up our first win in the first team.
First half was a fairly scrappy, but even game. Pontian went into the break 1-0 up, but the game was still looking for either team to put together some good moves and finish off. We had at least 5 good chances to get score in the first half, but didnt take them.
Second we were forced into a change with another injury (never ending at the moment), but the boys really took it to pontian. Some pretty average defending allowed pontian to score another and I feel they think that was enough. To the boys credit they kept pushing hard and scored 3 really well constructed goals in 10-15 minutes. It looked as though we might just get our first win. One of the lads who scored was given a yellow from carlos for celebrating and giving it to the pontian faithful. Slightly harsh imo. He then stupidly lunged in and got his marching orders. From there pontian got some wind in their sails and managed to pull one back. We might have slightly over comitted and they caught us out short in numbers at the back.
End of the day its good to feel like a loss after being 2-0 down, but on the positive side the boys showed great character to come back and give us a chance of getting 3 points. Another case of so close..... hopefully these dont cost us come seasons end.
Overall it was 3 good games of football on in the shitty weather and pontians have 3 very good sides, best of luck to them for the season

Ofcourse but didn't proceed to bag my team mate for the next 35mins for not scoring Wht the keeper thought was easy goals. Fact is I think the Vale had 1 long distance effort And the free kick b4 the final whistle and other than tht Inter's keeper had nothing to do. Therefore safe to say the flapping in the breeze cost inter 2 pts bcoz without tht mistake wld have won the game 1 nil..
