No controversy people was clearly a goal at a time we where putting on a lot of pressure, they where down to 10 men as the lad got sent of for 2 yellows, not one Brahma player yellow carded. raptors had a few booked. for once our lads kept there mouths shut and got on with the game. nice to get a win and move up the table a few spots.

a rest from the league with a cup game against St Peters next week.
you are cooked mate... clear goal my ass, the ball was about half a metre off the goal line.... the Brahma Lodge player who was closest didnt even react as he thought it was a goal kick when the ball was cleared, even afterwards ur players said it wasnt a goal... and the linesman (who is the most honest club linesman in the league btw) flagged a goal kick....

then u have the useless, extremely biased ref standing near the halfway line, waits a few seconds to listen to the appealing screams from the crowd (aka minders like this bloke), takes a good look at the linesman, then calls a goal claiming he saw it cross the line and the linesman is a raptors linesman so he must be biased and he will do the opposite of what he says...

So go F#k urself mate you have no idea.....

But other than this w@nka good luck to the club, Brahma played to their strengths well, long ball game with strong forwards who flick it on.... tough to handle when the ref is blowing every 2 secs for a free against us... then bomb the resulting free-kicks into the box for some goal-mouth scramble action, and hopefully a fake goal now and then... quality amatuer stuff..
what you talking about willis ha ha sour grapes mate, you are ranting on like your lot did on the park, a goal all the way tosser. honest linesman my arse i was alongside him when he put the flag up, suck it up mate best team won on the day , go pick up your dummy and have another spit. whaaa whaaaaaaa whaaaaaaaaaa. good luck for the rest of the season NOT...

Willis .... finding it abit tough being on the recieving end of a disputed goal .... I think i would call that KARMA...
well done to the brahma boys .... tightens up the league again
It wasn't disputed, it was clearly wrong.... In the end it wasnt Brahma's fault the ref was a shocker, but for this w@nker to even entertain the notion that the ball was over the line is taking the piss...

BPS, mate get that big chip off ur shoulder its weighing u down...

No dummy spit, we'll take it on the chin and look forward...
Obviously comedy isnt a strong point of yours.... what next go to the SAASL and complain about the ref ...lol

Elizabeth Grove vs Pontian Eagles

TOP of the table Elizabeth Grove has come back to earth with a thud after being comprehensively beaten 3-0 by Pontian Eagles at Dauntsey Road.

Both teams came into the game in good form and in the first minute the Grove’s Brad Docherty took advantage of a defensive mix up but his shot was well charged down by Pontian keeper Josh Megrian.

Pontian steadied and started to dominate possession and in the 12th minute Anthony Matteo cut in from the left before having his nice shot well saved by Grove keeper Steve Doolan.

Two minutes later and Pontian took the lead when Joey Howlett whipped in a cross from the left which was well met by Gary Williams who coolly headed home.

Pontian continued to dominate and while they didn’t create any real chances they denied the Grove possession for long periods and they thoroughly deserved their 1-0 lead at the break.

Pontian went close to doubling their lead in the 49th minute when Tori Gelastopoulos hit a speculative shot from 30 yards which beat the keeper before hitting the cross bar.

The Peckers lifted their work rate and looked like getting back into the game until Pontian’s Steve Georgiou whipped in a cross which took a deflection and went through Doolan’s legs to make it 2-0.

Pontian were now playing with real confidence and in the 75th minute they sealed the win as Matteo cut in from the right before picking out Williams who slotted his second to make it 3-0.

It was a very impressive win for Pontian who must be taken seriously as a contender in the championship race and coach George Kargiotis was a happy man after the game “I’m delighted with the win. I thought we controlled possession and didn’t really let them create anything. You can see the boys starting to gel which is really pleasing”.

Grove coach Shane Ferdinand was left disappointed “There was really only one team who wanted it which is disappointing. Credit to them they are a well organized team and deserved their win. From our perspective it’s important that we see a response in our next game to ensure we stay on track”.
Is this the article that will go in the messenger newspaper?

I like these write ups the messenger does a great job. I guess the Pontians arent the same team as the last few years

I think they will start winning sooner, rather than later

Thats hilarious. You one of the 'minders' from Raptors, standing on the sideline at the opposite side of the ground with bionic vision who decided to harrass the ref after the game? Theres a reason the brahma crowd behind the goal cheerd, it was a goal, they had the best view of anyone. Your linesman tried to flag a goal kick even though he was standing halfway between the 18 yard box and halfway line (the worlds most honest linesman). If your keeper saved the thing rather than letting it slip underneath him over the line maybe you would have been a bit more gracious with a draw. Our players play the whistle, hence they didnt stop. The ref stopped the game often because your players do not know how to match hard football, responding only with late and illegal challenges.

Just a question for you, we'd been told that div 2 clubs stick around for a drink after games, so weve asked that our players do the same at away games. Not only did not 1 person from your club stick around, you left all of your rubbish and bottles strewn across the ground right by the rubbish bin and huge bottle bin we left for you. I just want to confirm if this is commonplace for you guys or just when you lose?

What poor form? Doesn't make any sense El Soldado........I don't see how you can construe this comment as slagging Nuggett.

Graham hitting crossbar first half and scramble that hit the post second half. Florina had that many one on one's i lost count. Benny made many saves. He gets my votes for BOG. It was a great game from the boys and we deserved more because of all the chances we had. I won't say we dominated, but in terms of chances, we did.
Why is Morrison not playing and why the hell would you put your best player at sweeper when burt went off. Best thing that could have happenned. Took two players out the game that did, with fuda going off and day going to back lines.
Oh, and another thing to our ex coach. Hope training with Olympic went good mate during the week. That's piss poor when you said you will play on sunday and then text trev at 1am sunday morning saying you won't play. :clown:
So your just confirming what I said both teams were ordinary, most of the chances were created from ORDINARY defending not good build up play and weren't finished off because of
ORDINARY finishing, downs were ORDINARY therefore only created a couple of chances

You South Coast supporters were great with lots of friendly banter and it was good to see yas coming in for a drink afterwards...we will do the same at your ground
Quote of the day
"Watch out or your car will get stole-ded"

pretty good summary, south coast were lucky not to be 4 down at the half with our keeper pulling off double saves and munno hitting the cross bar and uprights. the two goals probably came from the least threatening attacks which was disappointing but cant take anything away from munno para, they deserved the 3 points IMO.
good banter from both sides supporters with both taking the piss out of each other and copping it well.
all in all it was a good day and I was just grateful to get home in one piece with no cars stolen and no one shot at
