PHW 4 ATHELSTONE 1 very lazy by westies and the stones having only 9 blokes.
saying that stones never really touched the ball and keeper got bored so the 1 conceeded.
harder next few weeks for west. see how we go.

Tough game today and to be honest the East were the better side for most of it,however we definitley ceated more chances but couldnt convert. East will definately whinge about the Ref but that's not unusual (handy guys to have when your hot air baloon is going down) and lucky for you guys that you happened to pick up a few players that were unable to play at your ground when it wasn't a cup round. Thanks to the guys that came in for a drink we look forward to our next meeting.

its a correction from the League deducting points from the Vale for playing an "unregistered" player against Gardens - even though Gardens forfeited that game. The player had played a couple of weeks earlier v PHW in a 1-1 draw but West were subsequently awarded the game 2-0. The mistake was an honest oversight - he has played for the Vale for a number of years and had signed on again this year. Vale had his name on the match card in good faith, but unfortunately the paperwork had not been cleared through HQ.

Good game by the Gully today with a 2 6 result.Game was played in the spirit we would hope for in the over 35's.
Thanks to the Downs in respecting the minute of silence due to the passing of one of our club members.
It shows that no matter what club we are connected with we are all part of the one game.
