They won't / can't. One of these days that ATO is going to decide that it will randomly audit amateur sporting organisations and then everyone will be screwed

I think the 'player points' system that the SAAFL has introduced is a much better system of preventing teams 'buying' league titles.

Even if the ATO did this, most of it is cash money. It never sees the clubs books. Besides most clubs try to keep below the $100K turnover to avoid GST collection.

The player points system in the SAAFL is a good idea, but there is still plenty of under the table, cash payments been made to players there also.

So I'm assuming all the clubs bars have proper cash registers and printed dockets that the club keeps at the end of a night ?

It's even sadder when Clubs can't attract players !
It's also somewhat sad when players follow a Coach from Club to Club....
